OT: Chiefs fans--Roaf to come back
I heard last night from a "friend of a friend" of a prominant Chiefs player that this player is saying privately that Willie Roaf will be playing this season. 

I can't vouch for the source, but I thought I'd pass it along.

That's been rumored since his announcement.  Just a way for a vet to get out of the grind of training camp.  If it keeps him healthier for longer in the season its all good for me.

This is good news.  The general feeling on the Chiefs board I belong to is that he is coming back.  I still worry about the RT spot, although if Turley is good enough....

Roaf, Waters, Wiegman, Shields, Turley, Tony Gonzalez (ALL Pro-bowlers except Wiegman, who should have been one)
Trent Green (Pro Bowler)
Larry Johnson, Michael Bennett (Pro Bowlers)

That is just scary.

I really think Roaf's retirement is something he wants to do, I don't buy into the whole "get out of training camp" (gootc) thing.  Those vets don't really do much during two-a-days anyways.  If he does come back it's because I think he's probably bending to the pressure of 2 million KC residents.
