I know it's not up to the standards of some of you, like Rusty, but I like it.

I'm excited.  :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

4 out of 5, only because they seemed to have mixing issues most every song.  I was pretty sure Britt was going to throw down his guitar and walk out, but he didn't do that.

Probably the best 15 dollars I ever spent.

I've never listened to Spoon.  I should, because they're huge in Austin (their home), where I highly value the musical tastes of most locals.

Yeah, their new album is killer.  I like their old stuff too but this new album I could listen through that one a hundred times and never get tired of it ( I probably already have according to my last.fm page).

Oh..on another note--coolest thing of the day--the lady and I were about to cross the street to get in the back of the line at the uptown before they opened the doors.  I noticed someone walking behind us in my peripheral vision coming from the opposite corner.  I turned around and there was Britt and the bassist guy just finished crossing the street from the opposite corner and walks 3 feet behind us as they continue down the street away from the crowd.  I turn around and go 'holy crap!'..my girl was like what, I go 'that's the lead singer for spoon right there.'  He turns around, smiles and keeps on walking down the road until they got way south and crossed there away from everyone.  In the meantime, I turn around, look across the street to see everyone's heads turning to look toward Britt walking away.  It was pretty awesome.

Have you ever stayed in one place? I don't even f*cking know you and so far I've got Manhattan, San Diego, Austin and Baton Rouge. Granted, most of my knowledge comes from random YouTubes and episodes of VH1's "Best Week Ever" but still, you would really get along with Asava.

San Diego = 4 month Holiday Bowl Internship
Austin = Always wanted to move there, lived there 9 months before I got a teaching job in the extremely desperate Baton Rouge, always wanted to be an English teacher but wanted to do it without going back to school to get another degree
Baton Rouge = current unfortunate city of residence.  Finishing school year and moving back to Austin for the rest of my life, because it is THAT amazing.

So there you go.

It's really not grossly overrun with Texans? I mean, yeah, "Live Music Capital of the World" but still... Texas, you know what they say...

And for what it's worth... Manhattan High just got rid of an English teacher. I'm sure the pay sucks but I've heard you can get some great ass out of the deal. For further information see:
