    The very best.
I've gotten about four or five phone calls saying that Clark Francis is saying that Mayo won't be committing to USC because supposedly he hasn't called Floyd in three weeks. First, I don't know that the latter statement is true. Secondly, how do we know Mayo has called any other coach? Just because he hasn't called doesn't mean he's not coming. He has all the information he needs, and from what I've heard, Floyd has all the information he needs ;)

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Be careful, fatty. Calling Clark Francis a "genius" is comparable to calling Roseanne a "beautiful woman." There might be a more cluless recruiting analyst out there, but I can't think of one.

Clark Francis was the one who called our recruiting class of 2003 the "Best" in the country. Yeah...we love the guy but know he's pretty clueless.

That being said, when it comes to Mayo, I'm willing to grasp at any straws. Talked to Huggs lately?

I exchanged emails with him right before the evaluation period started. Coaches are so busy this time of year, I don't even attempt to contact the ones I know unless I'm going to be at one of the events. Wildcat fans should be excited. They're getting a motivated, recharged head coach. He's legitimately excited about being in a great league at a program that has a really nice history.

You’re listening to “Clark in the dark”?  Big mistake.  He is clueless, but he doesn’t know he is.

And Mayo doesn’t have a clue what he is going to do.  He likes all this attention.  Maybe too much.  But his plans are clear as mud, even to himself.  If he shows up in Manhattan, then I’ll celebrate.  Until then I am more worried about Beasley liking KSU on his visit and Walker deciding to check the place out too.  That is where the future lies, not in waiting for Mayo to like us more than USC...

Exactly..........everybody wants the "bling bling" of Mayo.

But I think we'll be just as shiny with Beasley and Walker.  ;)

I might agree if I didn't believe that Walker needs to develope his own identity or so they think. It my opinion that if Mayo goes to USC instead of KSU it will be due to this and really very little else. If his thinking changes it will be because of all the ground work that Huggins already put in place and convinces Walker/Mayo that they can still benifit together under Huggins tootilage.JMO Either way it's all good! :beerchug:

Yeah, the downside is what if Walker chooses not to come to KSU if Mayo does?

I still think I'd rather have Walker than Mayo.  Both would be great.  But if I had to choose?

You can't be racist and like basketball.
I will never be able to understand why in the world people would act like they don't want OJ Mayo, or would even prefer another player over OJ.

Seriously, WTF?

Don't get me wrong.

I would LOVE for OJ Mayo to come to KSU.  I'd be THRILLED.

But if I had to choose between the two, I'd choose Bill Walker.  He seems a lot more level headed, more likely to stay for more than a year, and looks to be a much better athlete.

JMO.

Of course, the ideal situation would be if we got them both.

I'd choose Bill Walker too...in a heartbeat.  I used to want Mayo more, but I've been really impressed with Walker lately.  Walker is HUGE, very, very charismatic, much more talented than most people give him credit for, and can jump out of the building.  Those things, combined with the possibility of Walker staying for two or more years (whereas Mayo is no doubt one-and-done) make me more excited about KSU possibly signing Walker.
