    The very best.
Just so you know, your "renaissance" is pretty comparable to the Tom Asbury years of KSU basketball.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I live on the beautiful Country Club Plaza, and I can tell ya it's not all that beautiful...

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Media Day is a colossal bore. It's just a big hypefest. It grows tiresome quickly.

That said, the national media can't get enough of Ron Prince. Expect a lot of those types to pass through Manhattan in the coming months.

What's the lowdown on Webb?  Has Ron completely lost his mind?

I don't think he's lost his mind. I just think he's very fond of Josh Freeman.

Lets hope the National Media isn't passing through Manhattan to listen Ron Prince talk straight out of his ass.

The whole "we'll burn the ships and we're going ashore" schtick is getting a little old already.

So far the only thing Prince has burned has been Webb.

Both pushed out. Or told they'd be better off elsewhere. Or had their scholarship taken away.

How is being told: its not going to work out, screwing or burning someone?? Its a brand new system with new personel, turnover is to be expected, what is the problem.  Its obvious that the old system wasn't working to well regarding the W column.

They took his scholarship, they didn't ask him to take a reduced role in the offense, they didn't ask him to step aside for the youth movement, they kicked him off of team.  Turnover is a Sophomore QB leaving to pursue other opportunities.  Burning someone is ripping up their scholarship when they have 3 credit hours left before graduating, in late July, and telling them not to let the door hit their azz on the way out of town.

I have no idea and neither do you.  If I tried to speculate, I'd look like an idiot.  Much like you.

No, That is what happened... The only speculation is WHY it happened.  Reading every article out there, It seems that Webb's intentions were to vye for position as the starting KSU QB... His scholarship was taken away... For whatever reason... It was taken away.  Webb didn't ask for a release.. He didn't decide to transfer because of playing time... he was told that if he wanted to play football at KSU he would have to flip the dime.  That is what all the media is reporting.  As far as I'm concerned it is fact. If you want to speculate on the reason his scholarship was removed... go ahead.

I'm not arguing with you.  I just didn't think that we knew he was "burned" or that we ripped up his scholarship in JULY or that he was told to not let the door hit his azz on the way out of town.  Is that what you think happenned?  Then I might argue with you.

We do know that his scholarship was taken away.  I don't think Webb said... Hmmm... No, I don't think I want it anymore.

From his perspective, I'm sure it did feel like he was told "Don't let the door hit him on the way out".  Isn't that pretty much what taking away your scholarship means?  I know I would think they didn't care if I played for them or not if they took away my scholarship... The one I've had for several years.  That's a pretty harsh burn in my book.

Look crap like this is going to happen with coaching changes.  For whatever reason Prince and Staff didn't think that Webb was a right fit for KSU.   So he took his scholarship... Big deal.  Happens all the time in business.  And before you try to say that this isn't a business... realize that these coaches jobs ride on the success of this team.  If they feel that there is something that is hindering the success of this team... they won't care if you have 1 hour left to graduate... your gone.

Sucks it had to be Webb, but I'm relieved that this staff has the b@lls to do controversial things if they think it's necessary, even if it ends up being the wrong decision, our chances would be much worse than having a coach with no conviction or backbone.
