Overall this was my third NCAA Tournament game one was Lexington, Ky and the other was in OKlahoma City. At both games one I had to pay for my son who was 8 months old at the time OKC (Ford Arena) this was not decided by the town or the stadium so for those that are frustrated at Quest or Omaha your blaiming the wrong people take it to the NCAA tournament folks please. I two had to buy from a scalper yesterday because i would I love KSU and grew up two block from Ahearn when I was a kid would rent out my family driveway and then go buy tickets to watch Richmond, Massop, and Henson when i was a young youth.
Know back to Omaha so I bought two tickets from a guy that looked like Joe DIRT!!! should have known better but the tickets worked. We were insection 118 great seats bought for $250.00 total ($125.00 a ticket) with 6 minutes left in the game a attendent came up to me, and had four guys with here she said we need to see you tickets, then things get worse she comes back with four cops and a rep from the NCAA, the tickets we find out were stollen from mail and were reissued to the rightful owner. We were screwed begged and pleaded with the NCAA guy 4 times and finnally got thru to him the cops even were taking my side. We spent the whole second half watching from the open concession fan area could of never been happier. Be Careful thats all I can say, would do all over again what a freaking SWEEEEEEET game.
Know about the venue was BLOWN away buy Omaha much cleaner than it used to be, the stadium was very very nice with new running scoreboards and great seats thru-out would say it easily topped Oklahoma City, and blew away Lexington. OKC (Ford center was very close in my mind)
Downtown Omaha wow living in K.C. we have our areas but downtown K.C. in my mind has work compared to the old market, we went to a Brewery call Upstream very nice and finished at a Classy bar called Nomad, also pre-game went to the Matress Factory. That In-play spot where K-state had the pep rally that area was a dump but looks like it's coming up. For those who thought Omaha was a dump downtown you must of not gone to the old market, that is the real downtown very nice to say the least. Go to any major city and that doesn't have a problem somewhere downtown, i have been to al most every major US city and everyone has a spot. Overall what a great day and hope to make many more trips to the NCAA in Omaha for sure. Also stood by a group of Crieghton guys that were all rooting for the Cats.
Just my two cents and GO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!
