They're grinders.  They've lost 4 games all to good teams.  They beat Texas @.  They have a coach rooted in fundamentals who s l o w s   g a m e s  d o w n.  They are the most boring team in college basketball but they win.  We could go up 10 in the first half and still lose handily.  Or we could win.

I know they sat behind our bench so they probably know our signals now...did our team sit behind their bench after we won?

    warm up the EMAW
Key to beating Whisky will be hitting the boards and getting second chance buckets on O and clearing the boards on D.

They don't have a lot of shooters from the look of it last night.

Keeping Billy/Beasley out of foul trouble against their behemoths inside on D will be tough, but both should be able to force them to go smaller or exploit their plodding big men by drawing them away from the bucket.

If Ron Anderson can play half as well as last night and Clent can limit his turnovers in the backcourt to dunks instead of 3 point plays (as well as hit a couple open 3's himself) then we have a good chance.

As always, I think our 3 point shooting will be the biggest difference.  Whisky can't score much so hitting 3s will be extra important, because they will grind out results in the halfcourt.

We did not sit behind the basket during their game, thought that was weird too.  Anyway Wisc.  can hit threes, at least they did in the Big-10 championship game.  They were sloppy as hell in the first half of that game.  I would not expect that Saturday.  Everything else about the big guys is right, we still need a good perimeter d and if we can speed the tempo (not many can) that will disrupt them.

Draining the clock was used by the previous Wisc coach who then resigned and ended up at Wash.ST.

Everyone in the media was critical of how they played the game but it worked for them.

They are beatable just any team.

Duke beat them with swarming D and uptempo game.  Tex. lost at home
