First of all, that's a funny F'ing Picture.

Next, I appreciate the link because its the only time I can actually get a taste for what some of my favorites ala Jayhoax are actually saying these days ... nothing has changed.

Thanks Rusty for the comments ... squawks and squawklogic (home of the dumbasses) typcially equate somebody who likes to bash ku with somebody who isn't objective about their team ... thus squawklogic is usually in play at all times when conversing with many squawks.

I have some concerns about Prince.

What's funny to me is ... so many Squawks actually believe this whole "Perkins and Mangino are next door neighbors and best buddies" ... that my friends is an absolute load of bull$hit.   Maybe Perkins likes Mangino a little... but I can tell you Perkin's staff absolutely loathes the man, they hate his guts.  Because there's one constant about Mark Mangino and that is ... he's a complete asshole, and treats most people like dirt behind the scenes.

It's good to see Hoax is able to hob-knob with rich K-Staters.

Plus, I just can't help but nearly explode in hearty guffaws as Hoax gets asked to name names but won't ... this is the same guy, and the same crowd that absolutely DEMANDS names and links and such whenever somebody from outside the circle of Myopia of Phognet has some inside not so attractive skinny (or Fatty in the case of the Coaching Genius Mangino) on KsqUawk.

Thanks again for posting this link ... I had nearly forgotten what squawknet was like.

Dax, you will absolutely love this line from Hox:

Quote
It apparently has already turned off a bunch of people in the K-State athletics department and some big donors. Mangino is thought of as a jerk by a lot of people who have to deal with him, but they understand it is a necessary part of his rebuilding job. Prince is becoming known as a pr*ck because he is . . . well . . . a pr*ck, apparently. I guess if you are around him all of the time his comes across as a pompous a$$ who has done nothing in his career to justify acting that way.

How.......how does he know so much?

Damn you jayhox.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Oh I read that Rusty.

Hoax doesn't like me, because when I used to be able to post on there, I actually challanged the guy; Jayhoax aka Mr. K-State insider.

Here's one they hate ... Prince's staff sucks, no experience they said.

Hmmm ... combined D1 coaching experience of Mike Stoops, Brent Venables, Jim Leavitt and Bobby Stoops prior to obtaining their full time assistant coaches positions at KSU.  If you throw out Mike Stoops ... the other 3 combined for ... TWO years of D1 full time assistant coaching experience.  Add in Mike Stoops ... it goes to 4 maybe 5 years combined for that group.

Again, while I have my concerns about Prince ... lets hope the Phlock.net hitting % on all things KSU continues its current .010 batting average over the last 5 or 6 months.

They say Prince is Terry Allen ... if I found the right information, Terry Allen's original staff at ku, had at MOST 4 or 5 years of D1 coaching experience across the entire staff.

Prince's orignal staff ... combines for over 50 years of D1 coaching experience.

The Choirboy comment had nothing to do with "toughness" either.

see this is what i think is funny about the naysayers.  if bill snyder were taking over today and doing the things he did in 1989 (assuming we'd just had an above average last 15 years to this point), we'd all be freaking out at least as much as with prince.

Major differences between Snyder vs. Prince:

Snyder was an awesome, proven coordinator - He was Fry's right hand man for 15+ (?) years.
Snyder's coordinators were much more experienced - Miller was at Iowa for 10-11 years, and Cope was at least old (I haven't been able to find his bio).

Actually, I would have been much happier with 1988 Snyder in 2005 than Prince.

I totally agree ... clearly the very top on the current staff doesn't have the same experience as Snyder-Miller-Cope.  Albeit Prince and Franklin combine for 9 years of D1 experience at the BCS level.

i'm mostly talking about the things prince is doing on the job now, not his past experience.

i'm thinking fans are probably at least equally shocked by things prince is doing  --percieved to be good or bad--  as what snyder started doing when he arrived.  i'll never know...i was only 8 years old back then and fans certainly didnt have the voice then they do today.

i guess i have some strange hope that anything prince is doing that is outside the norm will somehow allow us to have another window to national success until everyone catches up again.

I'd like to add that there's absolutely nothing more humorous then to read the squawks tell themselves that what Mangino has done is EXACTLY like what Snyder did at KSU in his first 4 years.

Never mind that Snyder inherited an 0-30-1 program, or a program that had won less then 40 games in the previous 15 years, but the powers of Squawklogic never fail to surpass all dumb ass expectations.

well then mangino best have a win over a national power, a winning conf record, 9 overall wins, and a bowl win this year to stay on par with snyders 5th season.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.
