Yes, relying solely on stats instead of actually watching the on-court improvement from year-to-year is the way to go.  The statistics for Team A are always relevant to the statistics for Team B.  Nevermind that Kaun's field goal percentage is 61% (highest in his career) or that his role isn't to score points.

You people are sh*t-caked in denial.

You had better not gotten that stat off of espn.com or  :chainsaw:

You people are sh*t-caked in denial.

I'm going to need to see some sort of stat on that please.

Is there a link on ESPN?  I've been there all day and don't want to look anywhere else.

According to ku police reports, the fight involved as many as 100 people.
“We’re pretty sure an incident occurred,” said Capt. Schuyler Bailey, ku Public Safety Officer
“We will handle any discipline regarding this incident internally, and we will have no further comment about it.” Perkins

I get all my stats and analysis from there.  I filled out my brackets based on the Sportsgal's.

Okay, I finally got over to the Phog to find out if Sherron was healthy or not. The title of the thread is "So Sherron is indeed hurt again." The verdict appears to be that it isn't serious, but "who knows". Self says that it isn't a bad injury, but the game came too soon for Sherron to be 100%. I can only imagine what ku would've done to Portland State if he was 100%. :ohno: Props to those ku fans that know the difference in a ku team with a healthy Sherron and an unhealthy Sherron. How they ever know whether he is healthy or not is beyond me though.

Hey 'Nips, let's hope he's 100% tomorrow. I hate those bruised knees that last over a month and are 100% one day and then you bump it and it's no longer 100%. However, in a few short days it's 100% again. You'd think a guy that had so many problems with his knees would wear knee pads in practice so he wouldn't lose his 100% health rating when he bumped them. Maybe Danny Manning will inform Bill Self of this.

I'm no NBA scout like Peterpuffy but I would think that a guy made of china like Collins would be a bad pick.  Yet another player to drop NBA draft position just by signing with ku.

I'm no NBA scout like Peterpuffy but I would think that a fat, chunky, heavyset, portly, rotund and obese guy made of china like Collins would be a bad pick.  Yet another player to drop NBA draft position just by signing with ku.

FYP

In the immortal words (sort of) of Harry Carey:  "If Sherron Collins was a hotdog, he would eat himself.  With mustard and relish."

Tough crowd here.

I do not claim to have a high BBIQ by any means, but since I work in, and live near, Melbourne, FL, where Kahn learned BB, I have a special interest in him.  He has certainly improved, regardless of what the stats may or may not show (we all know that stats can be manipulated to prove anything).  What I do know is that my incidence rate of yelling "Kahn, you idiot" at the TV has been much lower this season than last.  He still does some dumb things, but not anywhere near like he used to.  There are no stats for confidence and ball handling (TOs are an indirect indication of ball handing only), but there is no doubt he has improved in several intangible areas.  You can argue he might have improved even more with FM as his head coach than BS, but that is all mere specualation.

See, that is a stat.  The rate of "Kaun, you idiot" (or "KYA's) can be measured.  So say he is down to 4 KYA's this year versus 6 in his sophomore season.  You can measure that.  Good to see you agree with us.

I have a similar stat..."Goddammit Clents" (GCs) are for when our starting guard gets his pocket picked or throws an entry pass to the other team.  They are up this year.

Limestone- I also track GCs. They are without a doubt up this year.
Back when John Mcgraw played fball we used to keep track of YAMs (Yards After Mcgraw).

I remember YAMS.  This year I kept a close eye on "where is he going?" (WIHG) for tracking Smoke Patterson's play.
