I'm surprised Hansbrough didn't win Big 12 POY.  That's how much Psycho-T hustles.  Did you see him dive on the floor against Duke?

I was literally like    :lick: . He is white and shows so much INTENSITY. Hands down Beasley is better, but Psycho is POY....  :chainsaw:

This means Beasley is twice as good as the POY in other conferences.

If Beasley played like that he would be called a bully and gangsta.  :ohno:

I have to LOL at Walker on 3rd team.  Usually, when coaches want you out of the league, they'll vote you to 1st team even when you don't deserve it (see B-Rush last year over Cartier).

Where did BW end up B12 scoring/rebounding stats-wise?

BRush 1st team again.  :jerkoff:

there was a really weak group of wings in the 12 this year.  really who would you pick over rush?  the next guys voted in were zeno and roby.
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."

    The very best.
Walker not being at least 2nd team is horsesh1t.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Not surprising, though. The league's hatred for him is far from subtle.

There was talk of giving B12 POY to Augustin.  I'm glad it didn't happen.

Heard it a lot.  Jeffrey Martin mentioned it in coaches conference call as well.

Totally agree that Rush being 1st team is a joke  :jerkoff:

Leave him off first team and onto 2nd team

other 4 members of 2nd team should have been --
Abrams
Walker
Maric
Chalmers

The Drive talked about it too, and an anouncer for one of the random Big12 games said last week that Beas might not get it if there was an outright conference winner.  And D.J. is scrappy...

Just curious...is it selected by position or overall?  Or is it just left to each coach to interpret it however they want?
As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.

My god Rush has got to be the most overhyped player this conference has ever seen.  Year after year, he underachieves and is named first team.  He is what he is, he's a 3 point shooter, who doesn't penetrate much, and is scared to take the big shot in a big game.  He can't even dribble with his left hand, jmo

Watching rush "dribble" with his left makes me feel confident walking on to a d1 team....and i lost my left arm in nam.

BRush 1st team again.  :jerkoff:

How did we crush them in Jan?  UniKan = 6 players earn awards (some duplicate); Kst8 = 2 (some duplicate).  With all of that talent and one of the best coaches, how do they lose?

Cartier was very good, I will give him that, but definitely not 1st team good. Rush was the leading scorer and rebounder on the regular and tourney championship team and on an Elite Eight team to boot. That is why he earned it last year. Cartier was on a middle of the pack B12 team last year (why he didn't make it).

Kansas junior Brandon Rush becomes just the second player in Big 12 history to be a three-time All-Big 12 First Team choice (Andre Emmett, Texas Tech, 2002-04).

I had no idea about this, but I really don't think that Rush deserved it this year. He got it on rep only. Chalmers and DJack deserved it much more than he did. I can only hope that he breaks his ankle after falling down off the ladder after cutting down his piece of the NC net, and then has to come back for his senior season to get it for a fourth year in a row.

Well done Beasley. Much deserved. Walker is a thug. He could make second team next year if he stays.
