lol

Beasley would be embarrassed if he played like that.

ESPN would probably have a Sportcenter bit about how Beasley's game is trailing off heading into March if he shot like that.

But UNC won.  And POY should go to the guy who is on the highest ranked team.

Is the award for Team of the Year then?

TH was supported (a.k.a, saved) by Green, Lawson, Ellington.

Beaz never has three others to 'help' win.

It's not hard to understand guys.  Beasley is good.  But he doesn't help you guys win, because you suck.  He score 39 but you lose.  HA!  Terrible

If a team is an NCAA Tournament team, the argument for them sucking gets thrown out the window.  Beasley made a crappy team an NCAA Tournament team.  Hansbrough makes a really really good team a little bit better.  That's it.  He gets credit for his teammates being really good while Beasley is his team, which is another reason why the MVP argument is a complete joke.

UNC w/o Hansbrough = a top 10ish team, top 2-3 in the ACC, 2 seed in NCAA's

KSU w/o Beasley = 14-15 wins total, bottom half of the Big 12, no sniff of post-season
Show me defense.

Look, I think Beasley is POY hands down.

But to laugh at Hansbrough's game tonight is just plain stupid. The guy had 16 points and 15 boards and was double teamed and bumped all night long. The guy did play his a#@ off and led his team to a big win against a great team.

Again, I think Beasley is a great player, and is hands down the player of the year. But Hansbrough is damn good

I gotta go with Green as the UNC leader tonight.  Dude had at least 5 blocks to go w/ 18 pts.  T 'bro 1 blk and 8-21 from the field = playing @$$ off?

Green had a great game tonight; but you're cutting down Hansbrough because he didn't shoot well???

Great players still impact the game when they aren't shooting well. There are going to be games where you don't shoot well, but the guy still had 15 rebounds and 16 points and drew double teams all night long.

You don't have to cut down Hansbrough to make your case for Beasley being the POY. Hansbrough is a great player, and that makes Beasley's play even more impressive.

Not cutting T 'bro down, but pimpin' Green.  Your downplaying Greens great game by saying TH was the leader.  My point...TH didn't have a great game, Green (and several others) did.  TH was not double teamed all night long.

btw, when did I bring MB/PotY into this thread?  Your point was TH was the leader and played his arse off...My point, Green and several other Heels were better & if that's (8-21 with 0 3pt attempts mind you) PYAO, that's not damn good...just good (Darnell Jackson good).

I'm not downplaying Green at all. I agree with you that he was outstanding tonight. And yes, Hansbrough has a great supporting cast.

The UNC players look to him as their leader and he was terrific tonight. So were some other guys.  And, I agree that it gets old always hearing about Pyscho T and all that; and the guy gets to the line more than he should.

Bottom line, we both agree that Beasley is the POY. I'm a ku fan and I hope the guy stays another year even though that means you guys will be damn good. I think he is good for college basketball and I love watching him play.

Why would Beasley be embarrassed w/ an 8 for 21 shooting performance against a top 5 team.  BY ksufan standards, here is a list of Beasley's "embarrassing" performances:

Florida A&M - Beasley 7-16

KSU vs Notre Dame - Beasley 8-20

KSU vs. Wagner - Beasley 7-17

KSU vs Xavier - Beasley 1-6

KSU vs OSU - Beasley 8-19

KSU vs TT - Beasley 6-20

I agree with Brandon Rush's decision to forgo child support payments.  Sharon too.

Agreed.

How many boards did he have in those games?  I am lazy and don't want to go look it up.

Awesome. Calling people "dumbass"

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Green would start at ku.  dumbass.  Sports info from you is meaningless since the "BCS Bowl Selection committee" and "ku was awarded the north title by the Big 12" incidents.  Quit being a poser.  If you can.

This is the most ridiculous argument that people seem to be really buying......

Just watch the two guys play - that is all it takes to realize that Beasley is much better....

If TH even deserved to be in the same conversation as Beasley in terms of talent, then you can revert to the better team.....

Let's be honest if MB wasn't playing in a college town in rural KS, these "debates" would not even be happening.....

Jacob Pullen does not start for KSU

Sherron Collins would not start for KSU
