But '07?  We earned that.  30 points a game and 400 yards ON AVERAGE A GAME.  Remember when Stan would get all excitable and talk about how T-Tech with their fantsy pants shoot and ladders nintendo offense might come in to Manhattan and put up 400 yards on us?  Well, everyone did that.  The whole year long.

In all fairness, those numbers were skewed a bit by 700 yards at Nebraska.

My point is that the yards per game was pretty much constant post-'03 until this year.  The 400 ypg is just a further indication that this year we were much further away from a bowl game than many think.

I think next year will be worse and that is saying something.  I think we are reaching a new tier of suckiness.

True, but it will be VERY entertaining. I also don't see that little nip of hope early in the season, that made the later part of the season so crushing back in 2007.

Could you see Freeman becoming a Lynn Dickey or Archie Manning where everyone just comes to the games with absolutely no expectations except to watch a really great QB?  That is pretty much my last hope.  If Freeman can show another big improvement over last year and make himself a legit NFL prospect, it would be fun, I guess.

The whole thing is going to suck ass until the release of seeing Ron Prince meet complete failure and the excitement of a coaching search.  I'm done with him.  I bitched about people not giving him enough time, about their racism, about them needlessly piling on him about crap that doesn't matter (his reading habits, the re-branding, the slogans) and predicted this whole fiasco playing out as a self-fulfilling prophecy, but he brought a ton on himself.  The scheduling was one thing, but the recruiting coupled with the coaching turnover and then throw all his other eccentricities on top?  I can't defend it any more, I can't take it any more.

It is just painful and sh1tty.  Losing to ku again won't be fun.  Getting raped by Nebraska won't be fun.  Losing to CU won't be fun.  Losing to MU won't be fun.  Getting assrammed by Booby Stoops won't be fun.  Dropping two completely senseless non-cons won't be fun.

I don't see much fun.  I see a slight possibility of entertaining, but even that is a stretch.  It will suck, let's not fool ourselves.

The season after next season when there are truly no expectations left and Prince is either on his way out or another coach is on his way in might be fun, but not next season.

Bleah. :yuck:

We'll be better.  Just not as much as most everyone else.  Our unoffical motto can be BEHIND THE CURVE.

The suckiest thing about KSU football are the fans who crap on the team, the coach and individual players IN JUNE!! This team showed early last year that they are capable of competing at a high level.  Yes we lost and fizzled at the end of the year.  But how a "fan" can trash the entire next season before it is played, is beyond me.  Ergo... SOME K-State "fans" really suck!!  :chainsaw:

If you don't care for the discourse over here, maybe you should go play in someone else's sandbox.  Be sure to get permission from your Mommy first.  She'll want to make sure your diaper isn't poopie.

Once you get past the ethics, the rest is easy.

Hey fellow EMAW, just because a person thinks that we are going to be absolutely terribe at football for the next several years doesn't make them any less of a fan.  For example, just because I like the movie Hope Floats doesn't make me any less of a man. Understand?  It's an analogy.

My hunches say we start out strong again..possibly a victory @ Louisville that will get us all riled up for a big letdown come October...

but hey, all I can do is wear my purple, drink some beers, have some brats, and try to enjoy the home games.

Not sure if I'm going ot have the time for the road trips...I'm a jinx anyway.

    The very best.
Nyquil is utterly perfect for dealing w/tough ksu losses. When I still cared (OSU loss) i nearly took out an entire bottle. Tough night.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Any fan that thinks we should have black unis should move to boulder, Columbia, or Lubbock. The scum of the earth is made of black-uni-loving fans. Black unis already ruined basketball, i hope they don't do the same to football.

Through 8 games of the 2007 season, KSU ranked #15 in the sagarin power poll.

When we lost a few defensive starters, we went in the tank.

Just a few, "nuggets" to chew over, imo.

Over / under on '08 KSUFB wins = 3.5.  Chew on that. :users:
