    The very best.
because our schedule is tough. Predict our W/L if wooly was still our coach, and we didn't have any Huggs recruits. (It's easier to predict a Wooldridge coached team)

Sat, Nov 11        William & Mary  W
Sat, Nov 18     Tennessee Tech    W
Tue, Nov 21     New Mexico    L.
Sat, Nov 25     Coppin State   W
Wed, Nov 29     California    L
Sat, Dec 02     Colorado State  L
Tue, Dec 05     Cleveland State    W
Sat, Dec 09     North Dakota State    W (and that's pushing it)
Sun, Dec 17     Kennesaw (Ga.) State    W
Tue, Dec 19     Maryland-Eastern Shore  W
Fri, Dec 22     USC    at Las Vegas, Nev.     L
Sat, Dec 23     New Mexico or Wichita State    W
Wed, Jan 03     Xavier    at Cincinnati, Ohio L

8-5

Sat, Jan 06     Texas A&M  L
Mon, Jan 08     Texas Tech   L
Sat, Jan 13     Missouri   L
Wed, Jan 17     Baylor    W
Sat, Jan 20     Iowa State   W
Mon, Jan 22     Chicago State   W
Sat, Jan 27     Nebraska   W
Wed, Jan 31     Missouri   W
Sat, Feb 03     Texas  L
Wed, Feb 07     Kansas    L
Sat, Feb 10     Colorado    L
Tue, Feb 13     Nebraska  L
Sat, Feb 17     Iowa State  W
Mon, Feb 19     Kansas  L
Sat, Feb 24     Colorado    L
Tue, Feb 27     Oklahoma State    L
Sat, Mar 03     Oklahoma    W

6-10, 15-15 overall.

So the question is, do you think Huggins and his 2006 recruits are worth 5 more wins than what Wooldridge would have done?
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I think you will be very surprised at how well a Huggins team will do, even a bad Huggins team, and this year's KSU team is not bad.  I would expect about 10-4 OOC and 10-6 in conference, not the 8-6 OOC and 6-10 conference you suggest.  I hope you were joking...

I was predicting how we would do under our old coach, and asking if Huggins is worth 5 more wins or so.

btw, if you sign up for the kstatesports.com thing, you will not get any games that are also on tv. You only get the crappy games that aren't televised.

You need to buy full-court if you want to watch kstate. That way you'll be able to watch 13/16 conference games.

Sorry.  I should have read the thread closer rather than just looking at the predictions.  But I was serious about a Huggs team.  Huggins could coach a team of blind monks into the NCAA Tourney, and this year's KSU team looks to have a lot of pluses.  We are still a year away from being a real contender for the B12 title, but I think you will be amazed at how well this year's team plays...

don't put him up there too high, it could be a tough landing.

Self can't coach a team of Mickey D's into the second round.

i honestly think huggins team couldve made the tourny this last year.  a couple of close games against oklahoma, texas and then huggy wouldve beat missouri the second time and wouldnt of stood for a game like a nebraska game.  huggy wouldve beat baylor and possibly at colorado.  Northern Ill is also a win, we're looking at about 6 more ins and the ou and texas being enough to put us in with our own wins vs ku and a&m.  we were close last year which is as far as wolly could take us, 6 is more than enough especailly with recognition that huggy would provide.
