I researched the standings and the Ken Pomeroy's site alot today and as of right now, I think Ksu is safely a 7 seed.    We are 8-5 right now.  If we end at 10-6 and win 1 Big 12 tourney game, we are almost a lock for a top 7 seed and might still squeeze back to a 6.

FYI --- top 28 teams right now IMO (1-7 seeds)

Big East (5) -- Gtown, Lville, Irish, UConn, Marq (all top 5 seeds)
Big 10(4) -- Ind, Wisc, Purd, Mich St ( all top 5 seeds)
Pac 10 (4) -- Ucla, Stan, Wash St, USC
Big 12 (3) --- UT, ku, Ksu
ACC (3) -- NC, duke, clem
SEC (3) -- Tenn, Vandy, Miss st
Other big conf (4) -- Memphis, Xavier, Drake, BYU
smaller conf (2) -- Butler, Gonzaga

other teams close but 8/9 seeds IMO right now =
1. Pitt - good rpi 25.  But they are tied for 7th in Big East at 8-7.  Have road games at Cuse and at WV in next 4 days. 
2. Baylor -- I think if they finish 9-7, it will take 2 wins in B12 tourney to get them a 7 seed
3. St Marys --- same conf as Gonzaga, and highly unlikely that both teams get top 7 seeds.  They play at Zags on Sat.
4. W Virg --- Huggs team is 9-6 in conf.  But they only have 1 good win (2nd best win is 51 rpi Syracuse)
5. Ou/aTm winner on Saturday --- big game for both.  a Sooner loss makes them 6-8 and a Ags loss puts them 7-7 with 2 tough games left
6. UNLV -- close 2nd place in Mt West behind BYU
