Augustin had more polish and was more consistent as a frosh than Pullen has been but I think part of that is the mindset where Augustin got it from the beginning of being more of an orchestrator.

Augustin did shoot lights out as a freshman but he is shooting a lot worse this year as a soph. He is stroking the 3's as a .355 clip...Pullen is .379 from behind the arc in Big 12 play.

per 40 min...

points
Pullen - 17.1
Augustin - 16.2

Assists
Augustin - 7.5
Pullen - 5.5

Turnovers
Augustin - 3.7
Pullen - 3.9

Steals
Pullen - 2.1
Augustin - 1.7

Rebounds
Augustin - 3.2
Pullen - 2.6

I don't think Pullen will ever shoot the ball quite as well as Augustin but I think he's a more capable scorer when challenged because he's stronger and more acrobatic IMO. I realize Augustin makes some tough shots in traffic but usually they're fading away while Pullen is great doing it w/ contact challenging towards the rim.

If Pullen can think more as a true point guard and develop some more consistency he'll be every bit as good. He's a better defender too.

I'm not sure most KSU fans realize just how good of a situation we're in w/ our guard play heading into next season.

I also think Brown can be awfully good if he can work on his ball handling. He has the start/stop suddeness to create his own shot and he has explosiveness. If he can get stronger and work on his handles we'll be incredibly tough in the backcourt next season w/ Pullen, Clemente', and Brown.

Dj played 38 mins per game. Pullen is at 25. Kind of a tough comp.

Martin is a f-ing retard playing stew so much more.

if stew was giving us abrams production (from last year) we'd have 2 more wins.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Hre is another good frosh guard. roberson from tech, thuggins wanted him bad.

anyway you slice it, jake is doing great but needs more minutes.

I wanted to compare him to t.j. ford's frosh season.

OMG. TJ has 273 assists his freshman year. He was also only 5-33 from 3. Not much of a scorer.

amen!  and, we are pretty much putting the offense into his hands next year anyway... so why not just do it now, warts and all?!

How much do you think Martin would like to have back that message Missouri game?
You don't give away road wins. You just don't.

he's been consistant all year... pullen makes an error and he's yanked... bad practice, he sits

why we would think Frank Martin would change his MO, i don't know

The only thing I can figure out with Pullen is that Martin knows how much he's going to need him next year, and is doing everything he can to get him ready to be the man, and relying entirely on Beasley/Walker this year.
