The Powercat is now a brand for our school imho.

It'd be like Penn State departing from the Nittany Lion....

For once you actually make a good point.

how do you define unique?

You defined it for me, graphically speaking. None of those logos can be confused with a powercat, unless you haven't been to an optometrist recently.

The Powercat has propelled K-State to continually be in the Top 25 in terms of Collegiate Licensing dollars, there's no way in hell they'll change it.

I'm guessing all the people in this thread who want to change the Powercat are in high school?

Fess up now.

That was my guess too. Anything more than a year old is outdated to them.

the powercat is ugly.  only snydertards ever liked it/still do.
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."

Snyder intended for it to be a football only logo, yet it is used in almost every aspect of the university. Does that make all of them 'snydertards'???

I know that guy that did that too.

Not a bad mark but we're the Wildcats not the 'Cats..and it was determined by the SID when designing the a new court floor that we need more continuity with our schools logo back in '94 or '95 I think.

what is great, I think, about the Powercat is that it defines a common mascot, the Wildcat, in a unique way that no other D-1a school can match.

Northwestern tried to rip us off early on. That was funny. I had a guy in the Union Bookstore years ago who tried to convince me that it was Kstate who took the Powercat from Northwestern. funny indeed :woohoo:

I don't like it prominent on the bball court or jersey's.  I like the small logo on the neck.  We ought to just have Kansas State on the center of the court.

Tell me this isn't a Powercat ripoff.  In our own conference even!

Welcome back, Bill.

the powercat is classic and i never want to see it leave! it looks good on everything too.  jerserys, shorts, bball court, helmets, hats, clothes in general, etc.  don't mess with perfection

My High School in Northern NY uses the powercat on their fb helmet. It is yellow, and yes I have a decal.

"we are the wildcats,
and couldn't be prouder,
if you can't hear us
we'll yell a little louder."
