You could replace every mention of KSU or Frank Martin in that article with Jason whitlock and for the most part it would all still read well.

You can't be racist and like basketball.
He's right that fans are ignorantly nervous about Frank and Dalonte.

He also correctly asserts that fans get negative when their teams lose.  really can't argue with the man.

He's only wrong about the need-to-be-10-6 part.

Whitlock is the kind of guy that would get pissed off by fans at the game and emails and then write something to piss those people off.

He has an outrageous boner for KSU.  He wants to be D. Hill so bad you can actually smell it in every piece he writes.  I haven't seen any man this jealous of another man since I read how much Tom Brady made.

This just in..

fans get mad when their team loses.

and also, ever since we moved into Bramlage we've had a continual let down of basketball mediocrity and inferiority to just about everyone...not just Kansas so there is a reason for it.

We're waiting for a snap out of this vicious cycle.

the "ksu players don't smile and say 'nice pass' enough" talking point was put into the closet almost two months ago.

good job to bring it out of retirement for the ku game.

Apparently ISU fans are whiny fans and poor sports desparate to validate their reach of a hire because they are booing a ref no-call when Arthur grabbed the to deflect a shot.

I really thought the phog.net thread about this column was better written, more bitter, and more insightful.  The part about how smart ku's "boos" are was classic.

Here is the money line:

ku fans typically only boo to K-State levels once it is clear the officiating is killing the game.  Heck, I remember a few games recently where we booed the refs for calls on the other team because the flow of the game was so disrupted.

I don't read that board but I have never heard of something more inaccurate and lame in my life.  Isn't ku the school who had a coach accuse refs of fixing a football game for UT?  Talk about glass house.

Uh-oh.  It seems ATM fans are bitter and immature.  They are boing and hooting at a call.

I've been to many games in Allen Field House, and ku fans have booed every single call against ku in every single game I've been at.  Whitlock's stupid for saying anything like that.

However, Whitlock is (sadly) correct that the typical KSU fan does sport massive inferiority and persecution complexes.  It drives me crazy.  I just get embarrased and annoyed whenever I see another "ESPN hates us" or "Prince/Martin is going to leave for a better school" thread.

many ku fans are much more flow-of-the-game fans than ku fans.
