No leadership? I saw plenty of yelling at each other and complaining out there. There was plenty of leadership from everyone! I have no idea why you didn't see it! Beasley is our leader. He is the only one out there. Pullen is a future leader.

I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

Can anyone say Hoskins? We forget Walker is a freshman, as is Beasley. We could expect leadership from four-year starter Clent but he was gawd awful tonight.

    Catch it!
That's to be expected from a young team but the focus and team effort on d is pathetic

Call me crazy, but I think Clent gets a free pass since his mom died a few days ago.  This team needs Dave.  Really, really badly.  Man.

Yelling does not equal leadership. I hope you were joking.

I would think with leadership, our focus and effort would improve.

I'm inclined to agree, but we're going nowhere with Clent playing like he did tonight.

We have the opposite of leadership.  The guys that should be leading bring the team down and set bad examples.  They don't hustle and spend half the game whining at the refs acting like fools.  Everything guys like Sundvold and all the ku fans have said about them is accurate.  Given how the MU and Tech games went how those dumbcraps could go into this game overconfident and lackadasical is beyond me but they sure as heck did it.

true those guys are freshmen... but what they could have done is taken the ball, stepped up and rammed it down nub's throats and refused to be beaten... mike did a bit of that for a stretch, but it was too little, too late

This is the dumbest thread in the history of the universe.

Do we have any leaders Rusty Beanbag?

Mainly on the floor leaders? I think after Pullen missed his drive to the hoop at the end, Beasley asked "How did you miss that dog?", he leaves a timeout huddle, he only leads by his play (which is fine, but we need someone who leads otherwise).  Bill likes to do this as well.  We have several players who mope... I'm not trying to bag on players, and don't think this cost us the game, our lack of effort and production tonight did.  But when your team gets in a hole we need that one player to look at, and set some of our younger guys straight. Pullen will be one sometime (hopefully very) soon.  Great teams have leaders (and better talent), but we can get a leader a lot faster than we can have some better talent backing up MB, BW, and JP.

You used to bring something to the table.

Notice the past tense.

I really don't give a sh*t if we have "leaders" or not.  They're the ugly, retarded cousin of Bobby Knight's "game face".

Not to be crazy, but these were the same things people said about 1992 Michigan. Young, talented, too out of control, uncoached, can't go far in tourney. Ummmm, went to Championship game. A lot of games to play before we go into meltdown.

Something is missing from this team, though.  Oh that's right it's a reliable PG.

It was down for a while...

Wow, that was not a letdown.  Hilarious.  I wish he would cover only KSU from the perspective of a bitter drunk who hates KSU.  I'd pay for that before I pay for gpc.

I kind of felt uncomfortable watching it.
