I bet they were INVESTIGATING for "multiple players paid and academic fraud".  Our fan remains clean.
"Kids used to hit him and stab him with pencils," says Harley Bennett, Jason's father. "Finally I told him he had to stick up for himself. Jason is not a violent person. One day he hit one of the kids back and got suspended."

I believe that Tom Light originated that rumor of the January time frame and let his minions carry out the task of spreading it around (at least what was conveyed to me.)

The only part that was factually correct was the hiring of the law firm.   For those that are unaware, it is protocol for a legal team to be hired to present evidence and reports to the NCAA.   It is never an indication that something "bad" is going to happen, it's just a move to help the university present the best case.  Usually, the lawyers are very good at making sure the AD's office doesn't miss anything during it's investigation.

In the end, Kansas State rose above the fray, Coach Prince acted quickly, Tim Weiser ensured that the process was followed in the investigation, and in the end, the Phog and Co, ended up looking like dumbasses.

All in all, a very good day for KSUFANS, K-State and the USA.

As well as truth, justice and the American way:

I love the smell of peat in the evening.  That smell, you know that earthy smell...  Smells like...whisky !

Phog and co. "looked like dumbasses" because they are dumbasses.
