    warm up the EMAW
The idea so far:

June:

Manhattan to Austin 1.5-2 days in Austin to DFW or Love to D.F.

D.F. 2-3 days------>Cuernavaca by bus.  Cuernava 1-2 days------------> Acapulco by bus.  Acapulco 2-3 days ----------> Oaxaca by bus.  Oaxaca 2-3 days.

Sys, anyone else, thoughts?  Recommendations?

Budget is max $4000 for 2.

do you have time limitations or just money?  you can easily stay longer for $4K if you would prefer.

if your times/locations are pretty fixed, i'd only suggest maybe an extra day in cuernavaca and less in acapulco.  and/or take a day or two in taxco.

depends a lot on what you like.  i like central mexico better than southern, but southern seems more pop. overall.

also, pm.
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."

have you considered a weekend in paxico instead?
much cheaper than mexico and looks very similar from a word perspective + close to home if things don't go well.  just imo.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Recommendations?

Budget is max $4000 for 2.

$500 for a cheap-ass motorcycle; $500 for camping / rain gear; the other $3k will keep you on the road for at least 6 weeks.  Don't forget to thank me later.

    The very best.
drive up to alaska.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I just got married this past October, and we did Cabo San Lucas for our Honeymoon.  we stayed at the Riu Palace for 5 days and including airfare our total was right around $2300 for the both of us.  It was an all-inclusive resort (Drinks, Food are all included).  It was great!

Can PM me if you have more questions or want to see some pics.

IMO that's a lot of travel for 4000 dollars.  Travel=stress.

That's a lot of bussing it for a honeymoon.  How romantic, camped out right next to the bus crapper crammed between Julio Noshower and Maria Stinkpits.  Just imHo

If you want mexican culture, why not go to the west side of Olathe?  Lots of mexicans, and you can blow 3800 at the boats.
