Based on what I see, I think Sutton should be starting over Gilbert in another two weeks. Sutton has the athletic ability and effort that warrants starting for this team. Right now, he still needs to work out the kinks in knowing the system on both ends. But for him to only be averaging 11.5 minutes is pretty sad. He's the kind of player that should be averaging, at an absolute minimum, 15-20 minutes a game right now and then 25-35 in another couple more weeks. Merriewether getting more minutes than him in any game is beyond ridiculous. Sutton puts out as much effort as anyone when he's on the court and he adds extreme athleticism to the lineup. He is outstanding on the defensive end, he rebounds well and is a great slasher on the offensive end and he can make free throws. His upside is tremendous. He is a very important piece to the puzzle if this team wants to make a run in the NCAAs and will be a key player in keeping the program up where it is after Beasley and Walker leave.
In two weeks, I hope to see the starting lineup look like this:
