It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Damion James over Arthur.

Only guy not named Beasley averaging a double double.

fff, I take it you don't mind Mike trashing your old school.

Quote
"I think every win is an important win. If we go out and trash Manhattan Anthony Middle School, it would be an important win for us," said freshman sensation Michael Beasley, who ravaged the Buffaloes for 29 points and 13 rebounds. "We've got 13 games to go and we can't stop here."

I'd put Griffin in over Aurther. Jackson > Aurther, too.
Haven't seen Baylor. They should have someone worth consideration.

No way.  Arthur @ UT would be ridiculous.  UT only has James inside and then two drive and dish/3pt shooters on the perimeter.  Arthur would be a monster.

James is UT's #3 option, and Arthur is ku's #1 option, yet James out scores and out rebounds Arthur.

And Atchley's stats aren't that far off Jackson's.

Maybe?

Based on what actually has so far happened on the court, James > Arthur

And Atchley's stats aren't that far off Jackson's.

Atchley 11 pts 6 boards in 30 minutes

Jackson 13 points 7 boards in 24 minutes

Rush 12 points 5 boards in 26 minutes

James 14 points 11 boards in 31 minutes

Arthur 13 points 6 boards in 23 minutes

They also "aren't that far off" of Brandon Rush's stats.  Who, according to your metric, is ku's "4th" scoring option.  Look at the points, look at the minutes.  Come back to me when you notice what the difference is.  I think if Arthur had to he could do what James does at UT.  Lucky for Arthur he only has to play 23 minutes a night, gets Jackson to hit the boards with him (and Rush) and gets tons of breathers when Kaun or Aldrich comes in.

LOL @ your lbbiq

Our guards have better stats right?  Like TO-A or whatev?  I'd put them on there.

Look at FG attempts, and that will tell you who the #1, #2, #3, #4 scoring option is.

Despite your attempts to obfuscate, James scores more and rebounds more as the #3 option on his team than Arthur does as the #1 option on his team.

James has 200 FG attempts, Arthur has 108.

James is 15 of 27 on 3 ptrs, Arthur is 2 of 10.

I agree 100%. and this is why I htink Frank Martin is underachieving big time.  13-4 with losses to teams like George Mason, Xavier, Notre Dame, and Oregon is absolutely pathetic when you have two lottery picks in your starting lineup. It's a good thing Huggins is no longer at KSU or else you guys might actually be pretty good this year.

Sure glad we don't have Turgeon or we would be 0-3 in the league.  :violin:

LOL. All of Turg's coaching power was derived from the hair on Renee Stevens' upper lip. Without it he is powerless!

Beasley and Walker are the only freshman in the top 5. 3-0 in Big Twelve now that the team is growing. Good thing we don't have Self coaching so that our "one and dones" can actually develop and be one and done instead of staying three years and getting picked end of first/beg second round (Rush), transferring (Downs), and/or becoming a thug (sound familiar) and getting kicked out of three schools (Giddens/Giles).

Umm, ok. None of that addresses the fact that KSU would probably be ranked and a lock for a top 4 seed in the NCAA's if they had a decent coach.

If I had to form a team and could pick any five from any big XII team:

1st team
PG: Augustine
SG: Chalmers
SF: Walker (I'm biased though.)
PF: Beasley
C: Maric

2nd team
PG: Hannah
SG: Jerrells
SF: Rush
PF: Griffin
C: Arthur

I don't know who could do a better job in their first year as HC in the NCAA with the amount of newcomers he has. With that talent came alot of people telling the players they were bigger than the coach. The players look like they believe in him. That's something not many coaches could do.

No.  He's working with a bunch of freshman newcomers that haven't played together.  Experience should not be underestimated.  If you notice the losses, it makes sense.  George Mason, Notre Dame, Oregon, and Xavier were all experienced teams with talented players.  These losses came early in the season because all the KSU freshman were just starting to get their feet wet in college and were just starting to learn how to play with each other.  KSU has improved dramatically from the GMason game.  If KSU played either one of these four right now, they probably only lose to Xavier, with Oregon being a toss up.  He's doing a better coaching job than 75% of D1 coaches out there.  People don't stop to see what kind of job he's doing progressing this team throughout the season or his in-game decision making because they are just blinded by his past and hiring process.

ku's best player.  Plays good defense and has great shooting %.  Doesn't have "off" games like Rush, and isn't constantly in foul trouble like Arthur.
