I got to meet him after an oldtimers game that he was the honorary coach of summer of 06. A bunch of former royals and others played a throwback game and we got tickets to the "vip" tent that the players came to after the game. It was Hot as hell and he came in and sat in a corner and spoke, took pictures, and signed autographs for everyone that came up to him to say hi even though there were signs that said no autographs. He was wonderfull, I've got a great pic with him.
This is the same event that George Assbrett made such a lasting impression on me.
