Star power showing up ---
Beasley/Walker 21-29 FG, 10-14 FT, 54 pts

point gaurd play ---
Stewy/Jake 11 assists 3 TOs and some big plays down the stretch (Stew 3 and Pullen assist to MB).  Plus add in Blake, 36 minutes, 3 assists, ZERO turnovers.

role players not trying to do to much ---
Gilbert/Anderson/Kent = 0 turnovers, 3 steals, 1-3FG in 23 total min.

shooting the rock --
50-40-70.  You do these 3 and you likely win. 50%FG (we shot 56%) 40% from deep (we shot 47%) 70% FT ( we shot 70%)

**********************************************

Now there are some things we must do better, especially on the road.  OU shot 53%.  They got 12 offensive boards and took advantage of them in getting too many 2nd chance pts.

But that is getting pretty picky....... as i thought we played very solid ball for 40 minutes and was glad we made the play in crunch time and did not let a great effort slip away (ala Oregon game)

GREAT WIN CATS!  Let's go get aTm.

Part of that was our guys not hacking after getting beat.  Personally I'd much rather Mike, Bill, and a few of the others give up a few easy buckets or occasional inside position in exchange for not having to sit most of the second half.  I'm sure this will improve over the remainder of the season.

The other part is not rotating and leaving open back-doors.  Almost similar to the Tech loss last year at times, except we kept composure.  Must have been coaching that made the difference.

agreed... in the beginning of the game, we gave up several back door cuts, and penetration dish-off easy buckets... looked like xavier-type play... but then a coaching adjustment was made and man-on-man intensity was turned up

very good signs!
