Jackie averaged 7.2 points and 3.1 rebounds in 13 games this season.

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State women’s basketball head coach Deb Patterson announced on Thursday that freshman forward Jackie Stanley has decided to leave the program.

“Jackie and her father set a game-by-game standard for playing time that was not met to their satisfaction, nor would I guarantee to meet in the future,” said Patterson about the situation. “Thus, she will pursue an opportunity where her expectation for minutes of playing time per game and her desire to be a starter will be met. I appreciate the contributions Jackie made to our program during the first semester and wish her the very best in the future.”

Stanley, a native of Wylie, Texas, averaged 7.2 points and 3.1 rebounds in 13 games played in 15.8 minutes of action in her debut campaign with the Wildcats. Stanley registered a career-high of 21 points on 9-of-11 shooting against Southern Utah, her second game in K-State uniform.

Kansas State will open Big 12 action on Wednesday, January 9 at No. 12/13 Texas A&M. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

Someone needs to put 28 on full cramping alert.

Whew!  Good to know that KSU lost no real talent with this one.  Manhattan's short enough on talent as it is.

Seriously kusucks, that is over the line.  The crack about There is a lot of crazy stuff on here, but that girl does not deserve that... (unless she is your girlfriend and gave you permission).

Playing time?  Was her dream of making $$$$M's in the WNBA starting to look bleak under Deb's expert leadership?  I mean seriously.. she's a freshman averaging 7 pts a game and she's getting her college paid for.  I hope Deb starts recruiting hotter girls team players in the future.

When will Deb leave the program that very few of us should care about?

Edit: "few" being the key term here.  Many (most here) of us never jumped on, but nothing has shown the bandwagon nature of K-State fans more than WBB.

Hoskins hurts his knee and weeks/month go by without any inside info...no one even knows the true status of Josh Moore or Danny Hogan (and apparently are too lazy or forget to ask every chance they get)...

.....but a freshman WBB player leaves the program and instantly the inside skinny is revealed.

Our fan base has some messed up priorities.

    THE b IS NOT CAPITALIZED
Jackie and her father set a game-by-game standard for playing time that was not met to theirhis satisfaction
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

You obviously don't spend hours upon hours watching webisodes of "Deep Purple", the #1 source for inside K-State information.

Momma weighs in on Stanleygate:

I don't know about you, but I believe the mentally unstable coach who runs off a least one or two players and assistant coaches a year and isn't on speaking terms with any of the All-Americans that played for her during the NCAA early exit glory years.

This is so undeblike for a player to flee the program.

Jackie's decision to leave this program was a hard & tough one for her. She did not make this decision overnight nor did she nor or Dad make ANY demands or set ANY standards for playing time. Those statements that were posted by the head coach of K-State are completely false and that is a sad disappointment to Jackie & her family that that article would be posted about her in order to try to deflate her as an athlete. But it will not work because she has such great character and high work ethics. The meeting that she attended along with her Dad on Thurs. morning was to ask for a release and that is ALL that she did .. nothing more... You people at K-State need to settle down and believe the truth and stop attacking Jackie. She does not deserve this. If you want to hear the truth, then listen and stop rejecting those members of her family who have tried to communicate the truth to you. The TRUTH will set you free.. A member of her Family

Better yet, in ending rather than signing off as a member of the family, this is her Mother. I have no problem making a truthful statement. Jackie is a class-act. She chose Kansas State because she adored the school, people, and the players... For those of you referring to her as "Hot" Stanley , etc. You obviously do not know my daughter. She is an extremely hard working, give all at practice, ready to take on the Paris's in the world - kind of player.. It is not my intention to deflate anyone at K-State - We take the Higher Road... But I wll say in ending that you need to think about this one and remember that this IS THE TRUTH::: : "Only a release was asked for, NOTHING more".... If your head coach can speak such a lie about Jackie as she did in quoting that "demands were set", you need to think about what your coach is capable of doing in other areas.. God Bless Your Program

What is this "hot" Stanley in reference to?

It is certainly not her looks.
