Tech's defense was 12th nationally in total defense and 18th in scoring defense.

Not saying KSU's defense doesn't need to improve dramatically, etc. but Fresno did get things humming offensively near the end of the season and they have a good combo of young talent and versatility in that offense.

Precisely why I am amused by the "prediction" threads on gpc calling for 4 non-con wins. 

Honestly, is there any reasonable answer to why we didn't buy out this game?  A road trip to a D2 school would have been better for us.

In the long run I think it's better for our coaching staff and program.  Playing tough teams on the road like Fresno...call me crazy but I think those sort of games build character in younger players.

"Younger players?"  Have you seen our commit list?  The 2008/2009 teams will not consist of "younger players."

Ron is an amazing contradiction....easily half of his decisions are exceptionally short-sighted, while the other half presume he'll be the coach here for 20 years.  Tough to figure.

Obviously, I think the guy is a jerkoff (only slightly less so than Weiser)....but "I'd love to be proven wrong..."

Crazy.  And stupid.  It builds losses.   Fresno and Marshal type teams have no business on our schedule.

Ga Tech also had their d coordinator serving as the D coordinator along with being the head coach.  Combine that with his likely new job in Baton Rouge and you have a guy that didn't have much time to focus on being the d coordinator.  Also, the entire Ga Tech team looked like they couldn't wait for the game to end as it started.
