NFL Question

Why isnt every game in week 17 a divisional game?   
And they take it one step further with a bunch of inter-conference match ups.  That makes no sense. 

The more divisional match ups, the more likely for post season drama on the last day.   

I mean Minnesota/Denver to end the year?  NE/NYG?  Week 17 is the one place the NFL losses me.

My guess is so they can sit the good players since the last week is a half-assed game anyways, depending on your record and if you have any chance to get in the playoffs. 

That is just my theory tho.

there really aren't too many tie breakers to decide the last wildcards.  plus the nfl is so up and down it really is impossible to try and predict that.

But you wouldn't be "predicting" anything.  Anytime you have a divisional games, (ie AFC South, AFC West) it has a much greater chance of being important.
Then again every conference champion was already determined by week 17 this season.

Bah, Im probably just quibbling over meaningless details.
