If you ever find a copy of Boot Camp Beta (1.3 or 1.4), it will still work on Tiger, but Boot Camp Assistant won't.  The license for these versions expired when Leopard came out.  If you ever do want to use the Assistant, a pretty easy work around is to set your date/time to manual, set it back a few months (sometime before Oct. 26th), and then change it back to current when you are finished using Assistant.
