    The very best.
Give us your breakdown on ther recruits videos.

thx bro.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

They all look pretty solid.  However, I'm not sure that I see anything really "special".  Sproles video from high school was "special"...  Sanders video in HS was "special".  With that said, I think the kid from Blinn will be a very good back, and it looks like we got some decent athletes on defense from what I can gather from some of my outside sources.

As with any/all kids that are d-1 material, I could have a coach put together a minutes worth of highlights that would make the kid look like a sure fire star...  But, without seeing them for a full game, or even half a season, it's hard to tell what you really have.

Most importantly, however, is the fact that the key component is "work ethic".  Some kids are "early bloomers" and will never get any better and some will overachieve in college.  But, lots of kids over the years have proved that just because you were great in HS, doesn't mean that you'll be great in college.

Don't get me wrong, I think we have signed a pretty solid class given the surrounding circumstances... But, it'll be 2-3 years before we really know on most of the HS kids.

Great post Bookie.  Getting overly excited (either good or bad) over a dozen clips is rediculous.

When you throw in that KSU made them into highligh videos (adding slow-mo) they're even more worthless as an assessment tool.

I will trust that our coaches did their homework with the kids we signed, I'm sure hours of tape was watched.

There does seem to be a real emphasis on "character" kids (a lot of higher GPAs, going after a kid commited to Air Force, etc.).
Granted, those aren't always a sign of high character, but generally a pretty good indication.

So far from what I've watched, Patton shows some explosiveness.  More than likely against quality compeition, he's running away from people.  That's fairly impressive.

The thing I liked about the Mastrud video is how he got off the LOS on his routes.  That's key for a TE in this league.

Crews; great pad level coming off the ball.  Its easy for talented HS kids to play high, he showed good technique in his half dozen clips.
