Sort of.  This guy is a Kansas State alumnus and would occasionally come to KSU watch parties in Cincinnati.  Nice guy, big KSU athletics donor, buds with Weiser and others in the AD, and an overall typical executive.

unless i misunderstand his position, he could have drafted talented hs basketball players, given them fat contracts to flame out of before attending ksu on the reds' dime.  if he was such a great ksu fan, he seems to be a complete dumbass for not grasping this.

I think he was more into building things that they could name after him.  Not a team player.
