Today was basically a fluke.  Slashacorn is fighting for his life.  Just really bad timing for us.

No they are not improving and that is the problem.  We've gotten worse not better as the year has gone along.  This was game 10 and by far our worst effort of the season.

And last week?
This year's team is certainly not improving. This is a shadow of the team that played with Auburn and beat Texas.
And I don't really know where the program's going.

Think about it, each game has been consistently worse once in Big 12 play.

At this rate I'd say back to our roots. :frown:

No. No improvement.
I agree, it is a journey, but right now, K-State is going in the wrong direction.
This is the third straight game the team has come out poorly in the first half. It survived against Baylor. But Iowa State and, now Nebraska, made the team pay (ISU beat Colorado, btw).
The defense has progressively gotten worse this season. It wasn't good to begin with, but it has regressed. Sure, injuries have something to do with that, but all teams have injuries. That isn't an excuse. NU scored 73 points without forcing a turnover... that's fracked up.

Special Teams should have been a strength, but that too has steadily gone downhill. The coverage and tackling is abysmal.

The offense, which after the BU game we were celebrating, has regressed the last two weeks and has struggled to score points when the game matters.

At least under Snyder, the team usually played its best as the season came to a close. That hasn't happened under Prince.

ps. improvement? Look to Mississippi State, which became bowl eligible with a win over Alabama. MSU isn't a good team, but they are an improving team. It's Sly Croom's 4th season, btw.

I want to bash Prince like the rest but we all know this team sucks with personnel.

No DT's or consistent passrush.  LBs' not good either.

That's it right there.  I don't care about new systems and new personnel.  Prince should have had last years team playing better down the stretch and the same for this year.  He simply does not have the ability to lead a D1 football program.  We won't fire him, but we sure as heck should not renew his contract.  If we do, it should be for less money than he is making now.

Welcome back, Bill.

I've been telling my friend for the past two years this was a terrible hire.  For all of you too young to remember, this is what K-State used to look like Pre-Synder.  I just wish Weiser had the gonads to fire this yahoo of a coach and bring in someone who can recruit as well as coach.  Sadly, I think Weiser will instead go down with Prince and lose his job instead of cutting his losses and truning the program over to someone who can lead it.  I think all of those kids who defected from the team knew something many of us are just now finding out....this coach sucks....and sucks bad!  Oh, and for all of you Prince backers...be careful what you wish for.  He has us on the cusp of 1980's K-State football again.

FWIW, they say the same things about Gary Pinkel -- I'd be happy if Prince = Pinkel

No we never had a team this good in the 80's.   Even with Jim Dickey.

To have 5 wins in a season before Snyder was like not even expected.

It's hard to tell how bad exactly the defense is as a whole because our dline is so unbelievably terrible.

We're not that bad yet....but we are moving in that direction.  It won't happen but I really wouldn't mind Prince being shown the door after the season.  At this point I have less faith in Prince than I did in Wooly.
