did a little more math...

05 averaged 2.78 offers and 2.17 bcs offers per player.

07 averages 1.07 offer (note singular) and .67 bcs offer(s?) per player.  of course this will increase, but still, snyder>prince in this regard.

*i'll do 02, 03, and 04 when i have time*

Any KSU recruiting class is marginal at best.  Making a comparison between any two of them is like trying to decide how much more you prefer your 35th most favorite food to your 60th most favorite food.  After the top ten or so, does it really matter?

I don't get it.  If the final class hasn't been settled yet, why are you making the final class rankings vs. a class that has 8 more months to go?

Maybe you should go back to the time of the 2005 recruits in June of 2004 and see how many had committed, and if so, what offers they got.  In fact, you should go back and check the offers they got anyway before KSU offered.

That'd be a better comparison.

ell roberson-3 Stars
quincy morgan-3 stars, redshirted his first year at KSU
terrance newman-2 Offers
david allen-2 Offers
eric hickson-KSU probably wouldn't even look at him today.
andre coleman-unknown out of high school.
jordy nelson-walkon
victor mann-stealth recruit from a small private school in Texas as I recall.
bryan hickman 3 star
rashad washington 3 star
lamar chapman pretty much only ku and KSU interested as I recall.

I appreciate you making my point on how mostly unheralded to 3 star guys have been KSU best players.

Other top players that were basically unheard of out high school or lightly recruited:

Kevin Lockett
Chris Canty
Travis Ochs
Dirk Ochs
Jaime Mendez

http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=173&p=9&c=8&yr=2002

the recruits from 2002

mckinney was only a 1 star, mo mack a 2, clary a 2, archer a 3, echols a 3, steve cline a 2, meier a 2, webb a 1

then you have the 5 star guys, randy jordan and daniel davis

the 4 stars were john cooper, andy bolman, tony madison, jesse (i cant spell or pronounce his last name), lilja, mike weiner, peni holakeituai

in this case the better team would be made up of the guys who were 3 stars or less and only lilja and jordan made a real difference from 4 and above

edit:  i missed jermaine berry who was a 4 star

    The very best.
app. the info kuno1stunner.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

other than texas who notoriously offers early, whats the average offers given out at this point by most bcs schools?  would make this data pretty skewed for now.

our 02 and 03 guys didn't have very many offers.  the 04 and 05 teams sucked.  it's easy to point out the good ksu players who didn't have very many offers, and ignore the hundred others who had no impact.  there's definately a higher percentage of high-offer players that panned out than not.

So you admit that every arguement you are making doesn't mean crap.
