KSU's offense vs. NU's defense is by far the biggest mismatch in this game. For all the talk of the NU's run game they are 9th in the league in rush offense. We're 8th in rush defense if anyone wondered.
NU's rush offense is low because they have been playing catch up every game. When your down 30 points, you tend not to run the ball.
This game is one of those where you don't know which team will show. KSU will score points, there is NO doubt about that. But KSU has to stop the run. Callahan will pound the rock early and often. Look for sweep left and sweep right every other play. KSU stops the run, NU has to go with the pass. Ganz is still green and will through a few picks if he has to rely on the pass often.
With that said, I think it will be close. Maybe not track meet-like, but somewhat high scoring. These teams don't exactly like each other either.
