1. Slow down Maurice Purify

Purify had a big game in the slaughterhouse that was the ku game. He had 7 catches for 158 yards and 3 TD's. Whenever the Huskers have needed a big play during this losing streak they've gone to Purify. He had 24 yards/catch vs. Oklahoma State and 14 yards/catch vs. Texas A&M

2. Don't be intimidated by the "Sea of Red"

The Cats haven't had alot of success in Lincoln and they're only 2-7 on the road during Coach Prince's tenure but if we can get ahead early the crowd will start leaving at halftime

3. Get something out of special teams

K-State leads the Bowl Subdivision in punt returns but ranks 83rd in kick returns

I could see this game going like the Colorado game.  Charles rushed for a bunch of yards but we did everything else well and won by 27.  I think we score in the 40s and hold NU to in the 20s.

KSU's offense vs. NU's defense is by far the biggest mismatch in this game.   For all the talk of the NU's run game they are 9th in the league in rush offense.  We're 8th in rush defense if anyone wondered.

NU's rush offense is low because they have been playing catch up every game. When your down 30 points, you tend not to run the ball.

This game is one of those where you don't know which team will show. KSU will score points, there is NO doubt about that. But KSU has to stop the run. Callahan will pound the rock early and often. Look for sweep left and sweep right every other play. KSU stops the run, NU has to go with the pass. Ganz is still green and will through a few picks if he has to rely on the pass often.

With that said, I think it will be close. Maybe not track meet-like, but somewhat high scoring. These teams don't exactly like each other either.
