Picked it up at lunch, this game looks beastly.
Anyone else get it and want to shoot each other in the head via Xbox live tonight?

Do they make a Commodore 64 version?

Honestly, it looks good, but I'm afraid the computer-upgrade budget is tapped out at the moment. :(

the ac6 demo was awesome, but I'm not sure it would satisfy me long enough. I'm a sucker for online FPS games.

I suck at all games not named NCAA Football to play online. Plus, I don't pay for Live.

And I loved the old Ace Combat games (talkin' PS2), so I think I'd like this one.

Xbox Live is about the cheapest form of entertainment in the world.  $40 for a year from Costco.

Do you atleast have a silver live account to download demos and stuff, Koug?

Yeah, that's free isn't it?

And to be honest, I don't even like playing online all that much, because I'm always late to get games, and by the time I play them everyone is leaps and bounds better than me; hence, I get destroyed.

Koug- yeah, every 360 comes with a silver account (free for downloading content and seeing who is online and stuff) and you should be able to get one month of gold service (online play).

piss...  I should have it in a few days pending the Gamefly Gods.  How do you like it?  A buddy of mine got it over lunch and vows to never leave the house and start wearing diapers.

ya it sucks when you get shot by them.  basically when they come up on your radar you have to take cover or you're gonna get shot. :(

Plus you can shoot through walls (you know, like in real life) so you better not hide behind that tin roof shanty.

The helicopters are really easy to shoot down though. Just shoot an rpg at them or fire away with your rifle at the tail rotor. Anyways, I didn't get to pick up a copy. Sorry clams. Manhattan is entirely sold out.

I keep tellin' everyone you architects play games and watch movies when you're in studio all night, and don't actually work, and no one believes me. :peek:

As an engineer who had an architect for a roommate, I can back that up.

That was how I knew. I had to hear constantly from my roommate about how late he was in studio the night before, and then I'd come home from class in the afternoon and he'd be asleep on the couch for 4 hours. I stopped by his studio one night because I was on campus late, and he was watching a f***ing movie on his $3,000 dual-monitor PC.

Work hard, play hard.

In all reality, it just comes down to the semester and the professor. 2nd, 3rd, and especially 4th years are really tough. Especially now that they bumped it up to a master's program. I have a pretty easy professor right now, so I'm taking advantage. Also, it's the type of work. It's not like memorizing some formulas or being able to recall some stupid line from a book. It's one of those things where you're never really done, so you may as well keep working. The people who waste time in studio kinda tick me off. They need lives. I'm the 8 am to dinner time type of worker.
