Please, please bring back Phil Bennett. He had some pretty kick ass defenses while he was here.

He also had a ton of talent while he was here. I'll let Catzacker or Rusty tell you why Phil Bennett would be a horrible head coach.

He would be exactly like Tibesar. Blitz way too much and be way too predictable.

Bennett was a quality DC, but he had a TON of talent when he was here. '99-'00 D's probably had the most talent on that side of the ball that KSU has ever had (that includes '98)

I absolutely agree with you guys about the talent we had here back in those days. I'm not going to give PB all the credit for our talent back then, but his departure sure coincided with our talent drop off.

Texas recruiting dropped way off when Coach Bennett took job @ SMU.....
Great coach and great man, doubt he would come back....
He will be the next DC @ AtM....
