ku football will finish ranked higher than their BBall team.

mark it.

I hope you are kidding.  ku has their best basketball team in 11 or 12 years

lol.  No, that was last year.

you are joking right?  We only lost one player douchebag and we are actually healthy and not starting two freshmen.

stick to football, basketball is over your head.

ku does look really good this year. In fact they look like we used too.

Considering where the Fat Man came from, this shouldn't be a surprise to any of us KSU fans.

Damn you ku, you outsmarted all of us.   :banghead: :beerchug:

    The "other" KSU
I am not bitter, I am realistic. Our season is in the tank - what good does it do me to rip ku? Nothing, BUT I will give MJROD $hit when he says crap like this. I dont see ku beating MU as they will be the best team that they play this year. Oh well, time will tell - and if ku beats MU... I will stand corrected.

ku is a very good team and they are doing what you expect.. they win because they are getting better.  Snyder should have taught you that if you'd been following along.

That's not what's happening with our team right now.   Our team is not improving at all.  We're spending way too much time practicing trick plays and not enough on building a team that plays just damn good solid football.

MJ, I got what Snyder did - please dont insult my intelligence. No, my FBIQ isnt as good as some on this site - thats obvious... but I am done with aknowledging ku - yeah, they and MU are the best teams in the North - BUT I still think that OU will beat either one. I just think that Stoops and co. are that damned good. Done.

NOW, I am with you in that these cute plays that we ran last year and this year are what we are relying on and a team that has to rely on that will win a few games early, but will be exposed... like we have been. I wish that we would just practice the basics; open field tackling, discipline and all around good sense. We have none of these things. Geez, even in the League they practice tackling on a regular basis. We have problems that cannot even be addressed until the off season. This year could get ugly. BTW, as mentioned on a different thread - of all our current commits for next year, we have only 2 on the D - both DBs and one (IMO) is undersized at 5'9". I say this in all seriousness - WTF?

You better not be done with acknowledging ku.  They have demonstrated they are a very talented and well coached team.   Stoops and Co. are good, no question, but do not short change the human lard bucket and his ability to coach his team.   He's served under both Stoops and Snyder and was OC for Stoops in 2000 when they won the NC.   He was also here when KSU went 11-0 in 1998 and through the middle of the DOD.   The man knows the game.  He knows what he is doing and I'd say he's got as much coaching skill if not more than any other coach in this league.   The man is 9-0 and not in any way has he done it by barely scraping by.

As far as recruiting, it's not over in November, and a lot of things change between now and February.   I'm sure that Prince and Co. are working on it, but I'm not going to worry about it right this moment.

We've had some key injuries and are beat up.  We're competing in every game.  This loss was by the largest margin so far and you and I both know that this game came down to a bad ref call and a turnover.    There is much room for improvement, but to suggest we're in danger of a free fall is just wrong.    We can't win the Big 12 north.  There is no way now.   We should shoot for a decent bowl game and know that while improvement has been by leaps and bounds, and certainly not up to expectations, we haven't taken a step back.

You lost a player to the NBA and replaced him with a slow white guy who probably won't do much at all; and one of your players will be coming off knee surgery a month into the season.  Stick to sucking c*ck it has to be better than your ability at this internet thing.

I just cant buy into ku totally yet - you cant tell me that the talent they have played against this year is remotly close to the talent level they are ranked with. I just think that it will be interesting to see where they fall in the bowl picture. I just hope that something happens with recruiting. BTW, if we play like we did at NU - I call THAT the beginning of the free fall. I have been over the loss for a while now, but MAN, to give ISU half of thier wins this year just sucks.

It's not over yet, but if ku wins out, including the Big 12 CC game, then ku deserves to go to the NC game.

And here is where it gets really bad.  if ku gets into the NC game, he will have passed Snyder as the best coach in the state of Kansas because he took ku to an NC game.

If that happens, ku fans will never let us hear the end of it.   It will literally be embarrassing to be a KSU fan because of it.  Beating ku 64-0 will have no meaning anymore.

If ku wins the NC, then I will die.

If ku and OSU wind up paired in the MNC game, then the BCS will be dead within 3 years.

I'm not saying that's fair to either ku or OSU, since they both played by the existing rules and will have beaten everyone they played, but I assure you that the SEC and the PAC 10 will raise holy hell.  And since everyone slobbers all over the SEC, they'll change this thing to some sort of playoff format.

I disagree with that.  The SEC and PAC-10 will not have an argument because the two undefeated teams would play and that's what the BCS wants.   So for the BCS it will be a victory and SEC and PAC-10 will have to accept it that they system worked.   The AP pulled out of the BCS because they believed it was flawed and had hoped the BCS would move to a playoff.  Didn't happen, and most likely this year wouldn't push it any closer if ku and OSU played each other.

All the more reason for it to happen.

Good times.
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

I think the SEC gets too much credit for beating up on itself as the indicator for a good conference. No other conference gets that kind of patting on the back for being "so good" when they do the same thing.

SEC is good and probably the best, but not by as much as people want to believe.

If Kentucky can beat LSU, there's no reason why Kansas couldn't either.

Missouri is ku on steroids. They will not need a 4th quarter meltdown to beat us by 6.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I think MU does have a better offense than ku, I think ku has a better defense than MU.  If both can make it too KC unscathed that will be a heck of a game.   I still think OSU can put some points up on the board against ku though, but I don't think OSU can stop ku.

This years OSU team reminds me a lot of my Jayhawks from last year. Prone to meltdowns when the other team shouldn't be in the game. No team should crap out like they did against Texas. Colt McCoy wants to lead the statistical category for INTs. Really, this OSU team while good and scary (from my point of view) has a lot of psychological problems that require attendance that I am not sure can be solved so late in the season.

Good luck next week against NU, I don't think you guys will need it. Bill Callahan is a pretty terrible coach, and that defense is absolutely miserable.
