That was the dumbest f*cking call that I have ever seen. He was clearly in and how the dumbass ref didn't even notice that is beyond me. Second to that, the play was reviewable because the f*cking ref never blew the play dead. He didn't blow his f*cking whistle, no decision was made until after the play. That was the dumbest sh*t that I have ever seen by far.

I may have the rule wrong.. but shouldn't the play have been reviewable since the whistle was never blown? Thus Johnson would have had the touchdown. I understand the whole reason why it wouldn't normally be reviewable if the whistle had blown because people would have stopped and Johnson may have not gotten in but I didn't hear a whistle. Did anyone else? The fact that a ref can f*ck up that bad just blows my mind. And I realize we aren't the only team this has happened to but it just f*cking sucks.

Still, we should have never been down in the first place.

You beat me to it. I don't understand this "if the whistle blows" crap. If the call is wrong.....Change it. Sure as HELL don't wait 5 minutes to decide that you can't even review the play.

You have to have to have the whistle blow thing.  If you don't, players won't stop and the play will continue in case they review it.  However, with the whistle blowing rule, you have to have refs that let some close plays continue so that way they have the option to review and make sure they get it right.

plays should never be blown dead period because teams are always getting scores taken away.  Imagine this scenero- a running back fumbles the ball and the defense runs it in for a score, but the ref blew the play dead saying that his knee was down, but review show that his knee was not close to being down; therefore the play is not reviewable and you &@#% the other team out of seven points

Refs are suppose to error on the side of fumble, stayed in bounds, was not down, etc.  The ref who screwed us obviously didn't do that.  You are only suppose to blow a play dead when you are absolutely sure the ball carrier was out of bounds, didn't fumble, or was down, etc.  How he must have been sure he was out of bounds is astonishing.  He was looking right down the side line a few yards away from it and there was clearly grass between shoe and sideline.  Inexcusable really.  What makes it even worse was he ran the last 5 freakin' yards with no defender close to having a chance to tackle him.  Like the whistle really stopped the defense from making a tackle.  lol
Show me defense.

    It's time to hit it.
I was on my way back from a funeral in Iowa and even the ISU radio announcers agreed that he was in bounds and couldn't understand why the play was not reviewable.  During "the review" they were sure it was going to be overturned and announced as a TD.

    The very best.
It was really disgusting. Had they called it a TD, I think we prolly win.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Hey guys, tough luck on Saturday. I really think that if that td would have counted the whole game changes for you. You at least have to like what Freeman has done this year, I think the bulk of your team is good, there are just some holes to fill in. Freeman has showed a lot more maturity this year, he isn't flinging the ball around near as much as last year. Good luck agains NU on Saturday, there is really nothing better than hearing their fans whine about getting the score ran up on them. Please!!! they have a whole 30 years of that coming to them.

    Hey, basketball!!!
Just think about it. Even when we get screwed from the JJ stepping out of bounds call, but if we score from the 1 on fourth down with 4:20 left in the game...

than we are down 31-27 with 4 minutes to go and all of our T.O.'s remaining. We still have a good shot even with that terrible call. Especially since their offense hadn't been doing much.

It just makes me puke. crap hitting fan Two Cents

That was a bunch a crap.  It's a TD you freakin frack'rs.   Anyone else notice that they were holding along the line almost every play when it mattered and they succeeded?  Sumbitches.
