ku is solid, winning games is winning games, it is what it is, their schedule is keeping them out of National title consideration for the time being.

I'd like for KSU to be 8-0.

I just find humor in other stuff about ku.  How some of their fans so easily brush aside other teams like ku has been beating the hell out of them for years and years, things like that.

ku's a good team.  I think they'll wind up somewhere around 14-15 at the end of the year, which seems about right to me as I watch them and watch other top 25 teams play.  They deserve to be in the Top 10 right now, because they're 8-0.

The Big XII North is definitely improved this year, but part of that is that the South isn't quite as good as it has been over the past 3 or 4 years.  Kind of a "meet in the middle" type thing.   I'd put the Big XII at about third among the conferences, behind the SEC and the Pac 10.

    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Why couldn't the big 8/12 have sucked when we had some of our early mediocre teams. :banghead:

Question for those who say that Kansas isn't any good because they haven't beat a ranked team:

Is Texas better than K-State because they're ranked?

alone as a loaner?  then yes.

Not just "alone as a loner," but also "pinpoint" as the NU passing attack in it's "signature win" against Texas.

No.  They're overrated just like Kansas.

ku is better than Texas if that makes you feel better.

And BTW.  We don't say that ku isn't great because you haven't beaten a ranked opponent.  We say you aren't great because we've watched a few of your games.  You're not great.

Colorado was pretty much unbeatable, untill we were really really good.  T-Tech was always tough, A&M was better than they are now, Missouri was stout.

The conference right now, coinciding with ku actually haveing a "decent" team is crap from top to bottom.

    The "other" KSU
ku is mediocre - anyone who says otherwise is fooling themselves. Beating teams that have GLARING deficiencies doesn't make a team great. Going to the wire against teams that have spotty defenses is pathetic. Every team that ku has a "signature" win against in the Big 12 has been flawed - ku has a good D and a offense that keeps it interesting. Beating teams that are rebuilding with 2nd year coaches and once successful teams with lame duck coaches is just what it should be... an 8-0 team looking in from the outside. Just because you are the Big 12 version of the undefeated Marshall team from a couple of years back screaming for respect means nothing.

what i dont understand is why we are making fun of ku for not playing anybody?  thats exactly what they need to be doing and its exactly what snyder did b/c he had too.  you think mangino would ever get that program off the ground if he had to play good teams?

all you have to do in order to get into the national title picture is go undefeated in the nonconference and win the big 12 championship.

that said i will root for ku to lose every single game, every single year.

I feel sorry for you.  You just can't admit to yourself that Kansas is good.  There aren't many teams in college football these days that don't have flaws.  Kansas went out and won three conference games on the road, in tough environments, and you're still not giving us any respect.  Obviously there's really nothing Kansas could do to earn your respect.  Not even a 30-24 win in Manhattan.

ku isn't any good because their players are $hit.  They'll never be able to beat anyone on a big stage.  Not that they'll ever get a chance to.  As they rightfully shouldn't.

Oh I think the #8 BCS ranking and the national television appearances have validated Kansas just fine, thanks.

No one gives a $hit about your football team.  (Or your basketball team, for that matter.)  Pretty much all of the attention ku has received has been from people whose first priority is to make fun of Mangino's weight.
