It's our luck that Iowa State will have decided to have their breakout game against us.

God, I'm gonna hate this weekend.

    THE b IS NOT CAPITALIZED
I feel like I should actually defend Ksu here.

But I'm not going to.
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

I see the Cats starting strong and taking a 23-13 lead late in the 3rd quarter.  However, ISU gets it going by running FB dives between the tackles to score twice in the 4th for a 27-23 upset win...

Naw, that could never happen.

This thread reminds me of the KSU vs. Colorado pregame thread a year ago. We were so afraid that we were going to be the team that gives CU their first confernce win. Result....Freeman set a freshmen record for completions, completion percentage...and the game was never really in question.

Problem is..I see Brett Meyer being more of a problem than Bernard Jackson...and ISU has a bit more talent...but ISU's special teams is miserable. That might be what keeps the game in our favor.

qft. great win by prince n co.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

If we lose to ISU then we could easily lose the last 4 games. That being said, no chance of losing to this crappy team. ISU is one of the worst, if not the worst, teams in the history of the league. This game reminds me of the Colorado game last year. People nervous about playing a crappy team on the road. ISU will join 2002 ku as a winless in league play North team. Think about how bad this team looks in 2008? No Meyer or Blythe! The days of a bowl game most every season (5 in 7 years) under Coach McCarney are long gone in Ames.

If we lose to Iowa State, then I will shut this site down for good.

Oh well, it was a good run.  So is everyone headed to GP or that awful scout site next?

Is this one of those, "Dear God, if you please make my tax refund more than $30,000 I promise to donate it all to the church" and then your accountant says "Congrats!  You just got $55,000 back!"  moments?

Unfortunately I'm with Rusty.

It looks like our team is starting to get a little gassed, and ISU is a decent team despite their record.  Add in that a lot of our guys are starting to get banged up and it could get dangerous.  I'm afraid we're going to just show up expecting to win(similar to Baylor 1st half) and ISU will punch us in the mouth and we won't be able to recover.
:banghead:

Rusty ahead of the curve again btw.

QFT.  Also, Watts suckage was high today (although he managed not to directly give up a touchdown).

No, but he did give up ISU's longest play of the year.
