Not content with concocting creative excercises to diss the basketball program that's beaten his own with numbing regularity over on 'The Octagon Of Doom', KSUTOMMY now directs his considerable energies and talents in that arena to dissing the football program that's done the same.

ku has a good football team this year.  They won't win the Big XII, probably not even the North, but they are certainly better than us.

I think ku will end up a lot like Mizzou last year. It still won't be a bad year, they just won't do as well in the last part of their schedule than they did in the front..

first - what in the hell are you talking about? I am a fan... here is a clue - now listen close, fans do this kind of stuff. try it sometime instead of making a dip$hit out of yourself.

second - hey thanks, are you going to ask me for my number next? My man, heed the warning, if you are going to bring the smack, bring something strong - not your pissant, faggotty, pantywaste, prison bitch being snowballed crap. That BS is more than welcome at the "PHOG" - so run along now and play nicely.

The better question in this case is: Which team is most likely a product of its schedule to this point in the season?

No KSUTOMMY fans cheer for their team.  You live vicariously through what your team does.  I bet your whole life revolves around the halfway decent team KSU fielded 10 years ago.  Losing to ku probably screwed up your whole weekend.  The excuses for the loss around here rival those of the bush administration for not finding WMD's.

But I just want to let you know its ok.  We Jayhawks are an understanding bunch.  I know its hard to wake up every morning knowing that you can't attach your self worth to a University that pales in comparison to your neighbors down the interstate.

So I'll offer this:  You seem like a halfway intelligent chap.  A little obsessive maybe, but serviceable.  If you find yourself needing a winning team in which to make yourself feel worthy again, give the Jayhawks a try.  Sure we don't have the wildcat walk, the power towel, or the decade ago decade of dominance.  But we can offer you a haven in which you can find a dominant force in both major revenue producing sports on which to hang your hat.

Hey, thanks for the offer - but I like to be a fan of teams that aren't on probation - MKAY? Losing to ku didn't ruin any of my life - I was still fondly thinking of beating our rival the week before. I was more concerned about what in the hell was/is happening to KSU - than losing to ku in their superbowl. I would have to think that your reference to our teams of 10 yrs ago being halfway decent is pure sarcasm - well maybe delusional, yeah # 1 and # 2 in the country and MANY top 10 rankings IS halfway decent. I will just giggle and shake my head at being compared to "W".

Finally, I would rather root for WNBA, Cricket, Soccer and Competitive Eating than ku in any sport. ku fans thinking that they are Dominant in anything other than basketball are collectively High on something. I am anxious to see next year, because, the Honey moon will be over Sweetheart; you will actually play a tough conference schedule.

Now that's how you get out a f***ing blood stain.
I must have missed something.  When did ASU commit academic fraud?
When I was a kid growing up in the projects, I used to dream of going into space, of escaping the slums, of killing an Ewok!

ASU for several reasons.  First, they give up more points so I think ku's D is better.  Second, ASU hasn't beat K-State so that lends legitimacy to ku's record even if it was a fluke.  Finally, ASU actually has a good coach while ku does not.  For ku to be as good as they are with Mangino, it shows how much talent they really have.  They must have some awesome athletes to overcome their staff's inability to coach.
Once you get past the ethics, the rest is easy.

That slap on the wrist really hurt Kansas athletics... LOL.

You do realize that K-State is currently under NCAA investigation, right?

Given that ku was found buy the NCAA to have demonstrated the dreaded LOIC, and recieved the "slap on the wrist" you reference, why should we lose any sleep about the NCAA investigation at KSU?  After all, the people involved in the NCAA investigation are either not here or have been dealt with already, and our head football coach had no knowledge of anything that went on.  Sound familiar?

If most NCAA violations are basically irrelevant in the long-term, why should anyone care?

A football coach can only be accountable for so much that goes on within an athletic department.

Hopefully KSU won't actually get up in front of the world and admit that serious NCAA violations involving several assistant coaches, graduate assistants, and new non qualified LOI signees happened right there in the football offices . . . and then try to tell everyone that the head coach didn't have a clue that they were occurring like a certain other school I know of.

maybe it's more about the principle of cheating or not cheating.  look what happened at OU last year, the NCAA hasn't done anything, same with USC.  bottom line is that even cheating will only get you so far, you still have to win football games.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Actually to be factual, KSU Football was NOT on probation in 1998, albeit the athletic department was.

I care about ethics, but apparently everyone associated with ku does not care about them.*  Some people like to live their lives by doing what is right and just, although I don't expect you to understand.  You probably had to slit a few corporate throats before you could get your coveted BMW.

*Some custodial staff and a few random professors might care.

Read a copy of the NCAA's letter.

PAST PROBLEMS

Three times in its history, Kansas State has been found to have committed major infractions in its football program:

• 1998: Representatives of the institution's athletics interests provided a football student-athlete with about $3,400 money, most of which was used to buy a car. The player returned the car, donated the money to charity, the university self-imposed the penalty of disassociating itself with seven representatives of the institution's athletics interests and three other individuals involved, and the NCAA extended an ongoing probation one year.

both of those teams are pretty good.  But neither is a top 10 team.  ku is basically 2-0 with road wins at CU and KSU.  Both solid but unspectacular wins.  Fortunately, for ku, not only is the Big 12 down, but they play the 3 worst teams in the South as well.  They are definitely worthy of a bowl game, but not a BCS game.  Their schedule is not much different than a non-BCS school.  The best teams on their schedule are probably equivalent to Fresno, Boise, Hawaii types.  And I know, that's where I put KSU right now.
