Remember Ell as a sophomore?

He was still being called Ell Overthrowberson in the Collegian's fourum.  Freeman is light years ahead of Roberson his Soph year.

What about his bounce passes?  Or was that Meier?  Probably both of them. :blindfold:

LOL @ "Overthrowberson"

Roberson was just generally inaccurate his early seasons and had some very bad overthrows in some games.  I think he started coming around about this time during the 2002 season.
Show me defense.

    ANGRY AS F*CK
This whole thread is just like my 73 year old grandpa bitching the other day because we don't have Victor Mann in the backfield.

Remember Ell as a sophomore?

Didn't he go like 6-15 for 40-ish yards @USC? Or was that Evridge @NU...

    The very best.
Ell was something like 2-15 for 27 yards vs USC

Evridge was 5-27 for 67 yards @NU.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

No doubt.  I'm thinking Freeman's numbers will look more like this:

93 May 30-51-489-2.

I am continually amazed at the lack of repsect some have for the history of this program and the man who built it. Impossible to say what numbers Ell would have had as a Soph if he threw mostly swing passes and been in every play no matter how many mistakes he made. Simply put in 2001,we were coming off 4 straight 11 win seasons and the standard for QB's was really, really high.

Freeman is a good fit for the current offense Prince has built around him. I am not hating Freeman for that. Completion percentages in the current offense versus the Coach Syder Era offense are not valid. In the old offense more deep balls were thrown in a game than we throw in three or four games now.

I see growth in Prince as a game day coach and feel he is building a pretty solid team that will usually be a factor in the North.

There, positive comments from a Snyderfanatic about the current state of KSU Football. .

You can't be racist and like basketball.
f*ck the qb run game.

Snyder's offense would be good for last f*cking place 4 years in a row, going on five.  He flat out sucked with Dylan/AE.

His ability to adjust to his personnel was amazingly bad in his last two years. It's like he realized the post-Roberson QBs didn't fit the mold he created with Bishop, but decided he was too old to change and said "f*ck it."

how did Chad May do his first game in Lincoln

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

What really tells me he's improved is that we've only given up 5 sacks.  The OL aint THAT good, so Josh is moving around to make plays, or getting rid of the ball safely instead of throwing stupid passes/ints.

QFT, the NFL dorky stats site says sacks are very dependent on QB.

I think a good way to back this up would be to look at the number of times Bledsoe got sacked in Dallas as opposed to Romo's numbers with virtually the same O-line.
