Reesing the great and the vaunted highwire vertical passing game...not so vertical w/ the step up in competition.

Big 12 play only
yards per attempt down to 6.2 yards per (Freeman 6.7)
completion pct 58 (Freeman 63)
efficiency: 127.1 (Freeman 128.2)

oops.  A sign of things to come?

I illustrated this earlier in my graph:

It seems we are finally past the intersection point.

Freeman's better than Reesing, it happens, but that's just what potential is all about.

His high numbers have come down since conference play started. No doubt that the competition has been a lot better. However one thing has remained the same, he hasn't lost a game yet. So post all of the Freeman numbers you want, but he has lost 3 games and Reesing has lost zero.

We've discussed this in another thread. Go find it.

we'll see how that goes.  Some interesting games ahead for the little fella.  Games where the teams will score in explosive fashion and he'll need to do better.

I believe ku showed some looks against KSU they didn't need to show vs. the high school teams in the OOC.  It worked.

Now a lot is out there and ku isn't moving the ball so well if Boulder is any indication.

This is the complete opposite of what you guys were saying last year, when Freeman had a better record.  Now that the stats favor Freeman, you flip flop?

and there it is right there....when a few losses (upcoming) happen in which Reesing can't pull it off...what will the talk be?  I would love to see Reesing in the pro-style offense whereby the defense knows what is coming and can't stop it.  Every defense KSU faces pretty much has an idea of what we're going to do but Freeman can make all of the throws and Jordy can do his thing.  As the OL continues to develop and the inexperienced receivers get more of a feel and timing down...things are opening up more.

Well I didn't say that last year, so I don't really know who you are talking about, but whatever.  All I know is that ku hasn't lost yet. Are there things that need improvement yes of course, but the most important thing is that at the end of the game ku is winning. This could all change, ku could be completely shut down this weekend, but until it happens I will continue to enjoy the victories.

By the way tough loss on Saturday. I thought Prince showed reall balls by making that call. You guys deserved to win that game, I really thought your D would be able to hold em.

I must laugh.   When ku really sucked I recall the squawks all saying how they'd never post on a KSU board, our own Hoax was the ring leader of that group.   Now that ku is good, suddenly we've got Squawks, including Hoax all over the place.

Pussies.

thanks for the polite post.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

If you would like to check, I have been a member on this board for over a year now, I don't make a lot of posts and I sure don't antagonize kstaters. I like to talk about sports, and sometimes it is good to hear what other teams are saying about your team because you can be biased at times.  Most of the time I find that posters on here have some good points and I like to argue a bit. Forgive me. Man, you're a bit sensitive I think.

Why are we starting threads bashing a 7-0 team that beat us head to head in our house?  Talk about petty, insecure B.S.  Just stop it, please.

Because it's dealing with the incredibly hilarious assertion that Todd f-ing Reesing is a better quarterback than Josh Freeman,.

douche.

I don't believe anybody on this board is dissing their team's performance, record, or win in Manhattan.

But we also recognize the Reesing >>>>>>>> Freeman talk based on OOC and see trends developing as ku has shown more of their offense on film and BETTER defenses are now preparing for them than the juggernauts from their OOC.

Thanks for reminding us about ku's season to this point.

I wish we could play them again.

Like Hatter said, not showing anything in the first 4 weeks and having a bye week...that's tough to overcome.

FWIW, ku plays USF, @ ISU, CU, OU, and TTU before our game...their schedule is actually brutal having to also play UT and MU also.  We play OU right before, but the playing field will finally be even for the first time in 3 years.

Smart scheduling?  We complain that they have played a weak schedule, but isn't that weak schedule setting them up for a Big 12 North title, possibly a Big 12 title, and possibly a BCS bowl game?

Might be time to re-think our bold and daring scheduling of non-con games.

Nope.  I wasn't saying that.  I do wish we had seen more of what they now have to show but there are no redos and they beat us straight up.  Props to them for being the better team.

And even if we did play them again....they are more balanced and it doesn't take a vertical passing attack or even an extremely efficient one to win.  They stuff the run, they don't turn the ball over a lot, they don't give up plays in the kicking game, and they're balanced offensively.

It's just that Reesing isn't what they say he is...that is pretty much how I see it.

Not really, because they kinda suck against decent teams that know how they play.

Thus far, they have ended up with more points on the board than those teams when the final seconds run off the clock in the 4th qtr.  Isn't that all that matters?

I'd say better.  I'll say good when they beat a top 10 team, so I'm saving that for the ukan/UMizz game.

So ku sucked against KSU and still came out with a win.  Good to know.

this post has reaffirmed my belief that there are level headed KSU fans out there.  Too bad some of you can't come to grips with reality.

Just the fact that K-State fans are insecure enough to bring up the Reesing/Freeman comparison says it all.  Reesing is obviously pretty damn good if you clowns are comparing him to your golden boy Josh Freeman (4-3, 2-2).

Obvious post is obvious
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70
