1) Mo's gotta go.  During Snyder's last years he was unable get production out of the some decent but  not great by any means of talent.  I personally believe Monty, Howard, and Collston would have been much better than what they turned out to be....not that they where bad but in my opinion they could have been better.  Again MO has ta GO!
2) Our tackling sucks.  Games 1 and 2 3-5 players tackled the runner.  Now 1 or 2 ARMS tackle.  Noticed the same thing happen last year.  1st 2-3 games we gang tackled and then we went to arm tackling=rush yards up for opp.
3) WE DON'T HIT!  Remember Mario, Randolph, Mendez, Pierce.  Don't get me wrong Roland is a good lb with a nose for the ball but he doesn't hit and neither do our db's.  I believe we lost the game against BYU (I was there), BUT I KNOW Mario hit the sh*t out of that WR.  When was the last time we had a really jaw jarring hit.  The last one I could think of is when Watts hit the Marshal qb, and that was during Snyder's time.  I like fast but not at the expense of intimidation.  That was fun fundamental fb
4) Smash mouth football will beat finese 7 out of 10 times.  That brings me to the small athletic lineman that we seem to love to recruit.  I believe large imobile Olines are better.   Case in point look at the linemen that Snyder put in the NFL.  I don't see any in the near future.  Bring back the guys that can not run a 5 and under 40.  If they can't block then at least they can't get easily moved out of the way.

Just some thoughts on our new team.

1's an interesting thought that I kind of like, 2's kind of obvious, 3 and 4 are pretty stupid.

I agree MJORD but I like that type of football.  TTech finese vs. OU defense.  check the record.

I really liked what Snyder did, but I'd like us to go to BCS bowls and NC games and I don't care if they tap them on the ass, or plow them into the ground, so long as we can do what is needed to get there.

QFT.

Either way, if you watch the 1993 and 94 highlight tapes, they look very similar to what Prince is doing now, on offense, defense, and special teams.

A lot of people forget what type of offense snyder ran in the early years...a spread offense and threw the ball all over the yard with May and a very talented group of WR. Defensively they were better, but look at the staff and the talent Snyder had during those years.

Thank you.  I didn't want to say it, but that's exactly what's happening.

To be honest I don't know what the talent was like i.e. recuiting stars, but we put people in place and had them ready.  I don't feel like our defense is ready past the first 2 series.
I didn't see the OU title game I was in England and had to work in the morning but it isn't the O that has me concerned it is the D.
Yes I did see the TX game.  We ran the ball well in that game.  We also made an effort to.  When we game plan to not run the ball is when I have a problem i.e. TX last year.  Before you say anything I know we won.  But ku kicked our as cause they knew we HAD to throw.

OU ran an offense that was about as "finesse" as possible.

We knocked the ever-loving-sh*t out of Colt McCoy against UT.  (Cody Hawkins vs. CU, too)

Also, Prince's last OL at UVA had 4 players wind up on NFL rosters.  Didn't Snyder have, like, two his last 3 years?

Your points are stupid, you smell like a sock.

I absolutely loved Jeff Kelly.  He might be my favorite KSU defensive player of all time not named Newman.  Oh, and for all you high school losers, Jeff Kelly would beat the hell out of Josh Buhl and Brandon Archer at the same time.  Anyway, yeah it was awesome we were known as Linebacker U.

Hey Rusty chill.  Wasn't trying to offend you or your sock but it is an opinion.  Not fact.  I.E. just some thoughts....
OU's D was my point not O as I posted earlier.
Yes we beat the hell out of McCoy but there coaches are a box of rocks.  Hawk SR had a bad night in my OPINION.  I beleive we were the better team but feel we were lucky in that game as well.

Also, guys I was using the past as examples not I wish we had.

That kind of stuff makes people sound like they are a Soph or Jr in HS trying to get attention. Pathetic.  To bad since some of his posts had good points but was all lost when he says stuff like that.  Hard to have respect for childish stuff like that.

Please, we've punished quarterbacks under prince.  Is Tubberville a box of rocks too?  Cox couldn't see straight for a week.

The problem with our defense is ONLY our innability to tackle and shed blocks.  It has nothing to do with "how hard we hit."  The only reason you remember the BYU mario tackle is because the mormon's helmet went flying and you've seen it a thousand times.

I believe Campbell or Houlik  or whoever rocked SJSU's receiver pretty hard and sent his cap flying too.

I've only seen the hit a few times.  The reason I remember it is because I was there and heard it from about 100 yards away but sounded like I was on the sideline at the point of contact, just awesome.  thanks for the good arguement.  I guess those where good hits, and your right about the shedding blocks and tackling but that is where MO has ta Go.  We don't give our lbrs the freedom needed to roam in my mind and maybe I am just not used to the 3-4 d but we line up 4 on the line offen and I don't see much change in outcome till we get to the goal line.  We have a hell of a goal line d and 4th down we are doing pretty good as well.
