They fired the guy who hired the guy who brought in a below average ball club.....so they then hired an ex-head coach who previously had hand picked the previous coach who was fired after going 9-3.

and now the new AD is going to hand pick someone else. It's gotta be Turner Gill...who else could it be?

John Blake? At least Nubb's version of John Blake.  :flush:

Bo Pelini and Turner Gill are the two names that everyone seems to be throwing around.

Turner Gill looks to me as a bust, I dont care what anyone says - BUT that will make the Big 12 look like the model conference in hiring African American coaches... SC will be jizzing all over themselves with that topic.

I hope either Gill or Pelini get the job.  Turner is exactly their John Blake and Pelini has the IQ of mashed potatos.

Why mashed? I say either hash browns or tater tots.

  Mashed are way down the scale from tots or browns!  The fact that they are mashed drops them at least 20 points on the "IQ compared to food item" scale.  This may, however, just be a matter of taste.

Really? I just think of retarded people when I think of tater tots (that doesn't mean they aren't delicious!). Probably has something to do with elementary school lunches or Napoleon Dynamite (terrible movie). I think baked potato would be the upper echelon of potato to intelligence ratio. Mashed would be somewhere in the middle. Probably right after scalloped or latkas.

However, if we were going off of taste then I would probably place baked potato at the bottom..

That's a good point with the grade school cafeteria-tots thing.  Agreed baked are the highest IQ chart potato.  Quality reference of Latkas (< HPIQ waks).  Going with taste would almost compeltely reverse the whole potato/IQ chart so I agree you have to go the other way.

Gill is my dream candidate since he guarantees 3-5 more years of hilarity.  The only danger with Gill is that you might get a Tom Osborne moving back into his old office up there and playing puppetmaster but he's probably too old to be relevant.

They don't have the personnel to run what Osborne would want to run. The game has passed him, just like it passed Bill Snyder.

Osborne attempting that would be the best lollersauce I can imagine.  I hope it plays out like that.

Exactly.  That's why we'd be guaranteed 3-5 years of cheap entertainment at their expense while they tried (and failed) to retool the team yet again.
