Kansas 6-2
Kansas State 6-2
Mizzou 6-2

KSU faces Baylor, Iowa State, and Nebraska in the next three.  Those 3 have combined to win 1 of 12 conference games.  And the Cats will get Mizzou at home.  I don't care about Mizzou's offense or whatever...it's no better than the one KSU faced last night.

Mizzou wins out but loses in Manhattan.  Beats ku in Arrowhead.

ku loses to either OSU or aTm on the road.  They will not win both.  ku is good but not where they're rated type of good.  And they lose to Mizzou in KC.

Please God, let Hatter be right.  I think MU beats us though.  While their offense might not be as good as OSU's (close, but not as good), their defense is better.

ku and MU would have the better north records.

I could easily see ku losing to OSU and AtM on the road, then losing to Mizzou to finish w/ 3 losses. Then we win out and we are Big 12 North Champs w/ the tiebreaker over Mizzou!   :hope:

This thread is dumb. ku isn't going to lose to 2 teams not named Mizzou, and K-State isn't going to win out.

Mizzou: 7-1
ku: 7-1
K-State: 4-4

no, they would not.

each would be 4-1 vs. North.  Remember, if ku loses to either OSU or aTm then each would be 2-1 vs. South and 4-1 vs. North.

Sure, there is no way it could happen.  OSU and aTm are very easy places to win.

KSU is terrible: UT +20, CU +27, L to unbeaten ku in final minutes, and L to OSU in final seconds.

chickenlittle, "can't happen.  No chance."

Not really...they would have tiebreaker over ku who would have tiebreaker over KSU.  They cancel each other out.

1) head-to-head....that would cancel out.
2) division record.  Cancel out.
3) ?????

not far fetched at all.  I do think they will prolly lose in Stillwater but win in College Station.  I just don't trust the Ags passing game.  OSU has a worse defense than aTm but their offense is crazy to stop and ku didn't come close to stopping them even on the ground last year.  OSU, not Mizzou or Tech, is the toughest offense to stop in the conference.  I say that because Tech is all pass....Mizzou is more pass oriented....OSU can get your ass through the air and the ground.  They don't even need to be that on target..just lob it up to their incredibly athletic receivers.

how did ku's d get so good in one year?

f-ing roids'. We need to use them.

And hatter nailed about reesing, that guys sucks. Freeman vs Reesing = LOL
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

my prediction:
MU 7-1
ku 5-3
KSU 5-3

I think the game against Missouri will be a very meaningful game but I think we'll come up short.  A&M will find a way to beat ku in college station they have a way of beating people down there.  My guess is A&M is a slight favorite in that game when the lines come out they match up well with ku physically.   ku won't be able to push them around up front like they have some others.  OSU I think beat's ku faily easily it's a bad match up for ku just look at last year.  ku wants to be physical and wear you down with attrition try that with OSU and you'll be down three TD's before you know it.

MU is very good and the best team in the division and I think the records will reflect that when it's all said and done.  I will say if anyone is going to beat them the rest of the way I think we have the best chance.

I'm not sold on winning in nebraska either, I think their oline will manhandle us.  We'll be able to put up some points but i be we see some 8 minute drives from their offense.

3 confrence wins in a row, bay, isu, and nu would be a first for prince.  Heck he's only won back to back once right?

It should be of no surprise to anyone that the ex-Scout moderators are some of the dumbest posters on this board.  kougar and cire spent way too much time going down on SeanK to know anything about sports.

QFT.

But seriously... what happens if there's a 3-way tie for the North and all have the same North record as well? Is it really BCS rating? Because Mizzou would get it then if there only loss for the rest of the season was to us and ku went on to lose two games.

Divisional Tiebreakers: The following procedure will determine the representative from each division in the event of a tie:

If two teams are tied, the winner of the game between the two tied teams shall be the representative
If three or more teams are tied, steps 1 through 7 will be followed until a determination is made. If only two teams remain tied after any step, the winner of the game between the two tied teams shall be the representative.

1. The records of the three teams will be compared against each other
2. The records of the three teams will be compared within their division
3. The records of the three teams will be compared against the next highest placed teams in their division in order of finish (4, 5 and 6)
4. The records of the three teams will be compared against all common conference opponents;
5. The highest ranked team in the fi rst Bowl Championship Series Poll following the completion of Big 12 regular season conference play shall be the representative
6. The team with the best overall winning percentage [excluding exempted games] shall be the representative
7. The representative will be chosen by draw.

So if ku loses to OSU and Mizzou then it comes down to BCS Rating which would most likely put Mizzou in. If ku doesn't lose to OSU then it puts Mizzou in because they beat ku. Basically, we're out of the running unless ku loses three games and we win out or we win out and some how end up with a higher BCS rank than Mizzou and ku (is that likely?).
