3rd and 11.... Osu completes pass for 25 yd TD

3rd and 9 .... Osu completes pass for 10 yd TD

3rd and 9 ..... OSU completes 39 yd pass for TD

A once promising defense is becoming very dissappointing!

3rd time our D really needed a "big stand" and it failed again.
1) game winning drive for auburn
2) game winning drive for Osu
3) ku drive that only took 65 seconds after we took the lead with 7 to play in the 4th.

NO ONE on the D has any business at all throwing up the LYNCH MOB sign.   Lynch Mob D was championship caliber and this D right now is not

1st and goal from the 2-stop
1st and goal from the 2-stop
1st and goal from the 2-stop
1st and goal from the 2-stop

People who know about football know that out D did not play a bad game today.  They put us in the position to win the game and that is what you want against a team like this.

OK ST moved the ball at will the last 2.5 quarters.

We did get a great goal line stand, but you can't let a team like Osu convert three 3rd and longs and get scores out of them.

Not too mention our 2 minute D was not great either as we let Osu have a 90 second drive and get a FG late in the 1st half..... and then it took all of 3 offensive plays for OsU to go about 40 yds and get inside the 20 and primed for an easy FG late.

500 yds and 34 pts given up by the D is not  real good, but the fact that we had oppourtunities to stop their drives and failed is what hurts more

I'm suprised that we didn't give up more than that.  OSU is one of the offense powers in the nation (#14 i believe) and stopping that with our streaky defense was one of the keys to winning.  It sounds like it is from senile John Madden but our defense is streaky and that is why almost all commentators plus betting odds were that it was going to be an offensive shootout like it was.  Stopping them on the goal line was huge obviously and even though we did give up yardage easily late in the game, we probably played the biggest offensive power team we will face this year.  Would you be saying the same thing if we would have not let them returned a touchdown for a TD/us catching the ball on the four yard line and scored instead of fumbling/or even won with the ballsy two point conversion?  It could have been a win by two scores.  We didn't execute well in really any aspect except (too the biggest degree) offense.  I believe our defense didn't play top-notch but better than I expected atleast compared to the score.  I think our kickoff team is as much to blame because their return game is not what should have kept them in the game in my opinion.   I'm rambling but I think our defense played well enough to come out with a win, but it was not in our cards today compared to all aspects of the game.  "Lynch Mob" status is hard to achieve compared to the original after the "down" years we have had and not pulling in top players.  Our defense is spectatular in my opinion when looking at the walk-on's/juco transfers, we should not even try and comparing.

i notice that nobody mention the 3rd down defense from the game before this.

was was cu on third down 1-12?

now that is not too bad.

of course the defense spent much less time on the field that game and the opponent has much worse field position.

oh yeah and the cu o is no osu.

GOCATS!!!

Someone please convince me taht Okie Staet's offense is just this unstoppable juggernaut...um, they're not. They can move the ball but c'mon, this wasn't LSU or Florida.

Fumbles in the redzone=loss on the road

I don't know who those people are, but they are wrong.  You can point to 2 times where KSU stopped them at the goal line and forced one FG, I'll point to the 5 other times where we let them score a TD (and of course the one FG we held them to in the 2nd half was the game winning FG).

You can't fumble 6 times on the road and still win.  It says so in the Bible.

the 3-4 is designed to contain four reciever sets....not the speed option or the fake handoff keeper. Obviously.

Zac Robinson looked like Eric Crouch out there.
