    The very best.
I did. They were so persistent, mean and arrogant how could you not?

That, and all the stars. I really thought NU/Callahan were going to start dominating then I'd look at his conference record (13-12 at the time) and be like...well..I dunnoo....why hasn't he won?
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I really wasn't completely sold, but I thought they would be much better than they're showing.

I didn't think they were going to walk all over the Big XII and be in the national picture like the NU fans here thought, but I thought they'd still take the North pretty easily (due to the Pinkel factor)

    shame on you, non-believers
Yeah, I did. My bro-in-law is a huge NU fan, so I heard all offseason from his "inside the program" sources about how NU was going to be even better than advertised.

He's taking the truth extremely well, though, I must admit.

I did.  I thought that with all that talent ANYbody could at least win the north every year.  Just imagine what Ron Prince would do with all that talent after he ran off all the pussys, team cancers, etc.   Ron may have had them thinking national title this year

I guess I bought into it enought to think they would have a chance in the North.  What I missed is that CU, KSU, ku and MU would all actually be better.

I thought they were better than what they are, but I didn't think they were a Top 10 team/national title contender.

That said, its even more imperative that we beat those guys.  I don't want to have to hear "you lost to the worst Husker team in so many years with a lame duck coach" talk.  Losing to ku was bad enough.

Well, I never thought they would be playing in a BCS bowl this year but, I really did think they would have been better than what they turned out to be.  But, come on - they went with Keller as their QB :nono:

LOL at next year:
Most of back 7 on D gone (could be good thing), QB gone, 2 best WRs gone, TE gone, 2 starting OL gone, coaching staff gone....should be interesting (and this is assuming nobody leaves early or defects with the meltdown underway).

Surprised that even he doesn't have the balls to show up.  Vanro is the only one.

I kept asking how team that was 3-4 over the final 7 games of 2006 was going to suddenly just dominate everybody.

We did lose to ku, but we all agreed before hand that the UT game was worth the ku game if we were going to split.  I still feel that way and so do the pollsters.  Lose to UT and beat ku and we're not ranked right now, not that it matters but from a perception standpoint Prince choose his battle and won it.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

You can't be racist and like basketball.
I figured Callahan would build an 8 or 9 win a year program...not much better, not much worse.

I did not buy into the hype that NU would be a dominant team in the Big 12 as their fans expected.  Callahan is not a good coach, and never has been.

I don't know why people got the idea they were all that good, other than their fans.

+1  Anyone who didn't see this coming given Callahan's past history just wasn't paying attention.

Hell no!!!  But when I discussed the impending doom at Nubb Fatty complained that I had a one track mind (so Fatty please do not discuss Nebraska further).

However, I did expect them to be respectable in what I percieved as a below average North.  Their front 4 was dominant last year and all gonzo.  Their ability to keep linemen off the backers made the LB's seem almost "good"...when they are actually a very poor bunch.  The DB's pretty much sucked last year and suck worse this year.

The Nubb offense has never impressed me.  They had questions on the OL and they lose 1 starter (due to an impending positive roid test) to the supplimental draft just prior to the season and another in the 1st or 2nd game of the year.  Not good for them at all.  Nubb fans had Keller as an early Heisman candidate, but I pointed out on this board he had a total of 4 wins in a 4 year career, which it appears few were aware of.  Husker Hype at its most obvious.  Lucky tried to kill himself during the summer....always a good start to the season for your #1 running back.  Purify had legal troubles and has had family tragedy since.

All signs were pointing towards a collapse, but when the competition is Pinkel, ku, two 2nd year coaches and a 1st year coach it isn't terribly difficult to expect at least marginal success.

vanro bunts... catcher throws it past the 1st baseman...  vanny takes second...  Right fielder throws it into the 3rd base dugout...  vanny rounds 3rd and heads for home...  and.... slides in safely!!!

Although, ya didn't knock this one outta the park... I'm calling "HOME RUN", nonetheless!!

I assume the two ku fags are you and shltdick...  and the answer is never have, never will.

Unless, of course, you still want that Louisville Slugger up your ass!

    The "other" KSU
I sort of bought in when he was with the Raiders, but when he was run off from there and NU dragged him in off the scrap heap - I had no faith. I am just proud that he got a check before he will be run out of town as he will never coach agian. IMO.

I thought they were real even after USC.  I just thought USC was that good.  But after Ball OSU and Mizzou blow them out BIG TIME coupled with a squeaker against Ball State...  They are straight crap.

I still want my cooler, bitches!
