Good news is we don't play KSU till 2010

Damn right. They own us more or less. In all our games with them they've come in pissed and poised. In fact, they'd have won 2 more against us than they have except one year K-State had a tying field goal blocked, and the next they were poised to win but their QB fumbled 5 yards away running into the end zone (then some guy or other named "Young" came off the bench to throw a bomb for one TD and run for another (beginning an otherwise unremarkable career at UT  ).

We do have a low sports budget, but that is unrelated to our status as a landgrant school. Look at land grant schools across the nation (disregarding the Morrill 2 schools) and you will see some large budget programs.
