The Kansas City AP writer was on AM 610 this afternoon, and said in the entire history of the AP poll ... all three of us have never been simultaneously ranked!!!

Watch for the story, I couldn't find it at the time of this post ...

    The very best.
ku hasn't been ranked since 1996.

KSU has been ranked for 100+ weeks during that span.

Good stuff.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

    Overkill. It works.
Yeah, that list used to read (in no particular order)

Nebraska
Kansas State
Colorado
MAYBE Mizzery (until they stumbled, and that wasn't usually a very long wait)

ku, MU, and KSU all being ranked must add all kinds of salt to the festering wound that is Husker Football.

25th in one poll is not really something to get all that excited about

You're right.  That's not what we were saying.  I believe it was K-State that was ranked 24th when Kansas won in Manhattan.  Kansas entered the top 25 at #20.

I guess you're right, it's not like you were excited about being in the 'Others Receiving Votes:' category:

ku beat FIU worse than Penn State and Miami, and now has 20 votes in the Coaches poll.  I hope your team underestimates ku as much as your fans seem to be doing.  I don't know what the hell you've seen from K-State that's so impressive, but ku has looked dominant.  I don't care what you say about competition, this ku team is legit.  I will be shocked if K-State has improved as much from last season as ku, and we beat your team 39-20.  It probably should have been more, but Kerry Meier's shoulder was bothering him and he turned the ball over a couple times in the red zone.

You're taking it way out of context.  I was using that to back up my argument that ku was a pretty good team.  Everything else I said was spot on.

Note:  ku won in Manhattan, 30-24, like I had been saying they would all year.

I guess i'm not sure exactly what validation you are fishing for. ku is obviously a decent team but the reality is they have still only played one good team.

Be happy that they are having success and ranked, who knows how long it will last. (not saying KSU is better.....as im sure thats how you will take it)

If you are wanting this board to simultaneously announce this ku team as the Big 12 Champs or something......well,  I doubt that will happen.

You get mocked for a lot of stuff.  And most of it, deservedly.

You also said that would occur at the end of the year, so count your chickens if you please, but you're not spot on quite yet.

Spot on?  Really BMW, spot on?  I think that phrase went out of favor sometime between crank-start horseless carriages and "talkies."

BMW, I will be impressed when ku ends the season ranked higher than Auburn and Texas.  Until then  :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah:

Don't get me wrong, ku is good but still has a lot to prove.

We'll see at the end of the season. A good-mediocre team playing teams that are similar-much worse should win every game.

Have Auburn and Texas played football games out of their home state prior to October 20th?

LOL.

Out of all people, I predicted K-State would win one out of Auburn/Texas.  I've said K-State had a pretty good team all season.  I just think it's hilarious that you K-State fans keep trying to find ways to convince yourselves that Kansas isn't any good this year.

I think ku is a good team, but I don't know how long they can sustain it.

The problem you're going to have BMW is how to explain ku's next three road losses and why it happened.   This may be the only year ku goes this far.

I think we all knew Texas was a lock, since we own them.
