It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

He may be the one of the best in the B12, but he's no All-American.

He is by far the best tackler on the team.
He has done very well limiting the penalties...and has shut down most of the WR he's on.

    I miss him ^^
One thing I have noticed this year from McKinney and others is that we have gotten really good at knocking the ball out of the receviers hands before they have complete control of it.  We have done that a LOT this year.

I'll eat crow about him.  To start the year I kept thinking "WTF is wrong with Prince starting him?  He's just gonna allow a big play or get a penalty."

I expected Sweed to absolutely abuse him.

Instead, he's statistically the best corner in Big XII play.

McKinney will make an NFL roster next year.  I've thought this before the season even started.  He can cover, tackle, has the athletic ability to build on and has good speed.
Show me defense.

not even close.  he has cost the team a lot of penalty yards this year with his boneheaded personal fouls.  but he has really improved since conference play began.  for what its worth hes not even the best DB on his own team.

fastest on team

i remember somebody said a scout was at the olathe practice, and IIRC he was watching McKinney (for his speed), Watts, and maybe Rob Jackson?  i bet he'll start watching nelson now.
