I'm pretty new to this whole football thing, but even I can see how dysfunctional Baylor is.  Not to mention, the lack of a threat that they pose to anybody right now.  Another sub-par team, smacked around by ku.  But, really, congrats on your ability to gloat for another week!  :jerkoff:

So you are saying Baylor = ku?  OK, I can guess I can agree if that is your point.     With that logic, we really did lay an egg last weekend.

    The "other" KSU
CHUM, you reached into my mouth and pulled that out - I will piggy back on that thought though,

CONGRATS ku! Way to avenge the loss of last year! Ladies and Gentlemen, allow me to be the first to announce that with this win over the mighty Baylor Bears, the University of Kansas has officially arrived on the scene and is a bonafied THREAT in NCAA Div 1-A football! Why not just take the Big 12 trophy and stick it in the Football trophy case right now (do you have a Football trohpy case?)

WTF Remember KSU isn't even your rival, go back to Lawrence to celebrate your impressive stomp of Baylor at home.

there IS a football trophy case, in the Booth Hall of Athletics, an addition at Allen Fieldhouse ... the Fort Worth Bowl trophy looks awfully lonely in there ...

Thanks to the Cats for taking down Colorado and leaving Kansas as the only undefeated team in the Big XII ... :D

oh and:

You'd have to admit that your "let down" game was against St. Mary's School for the deaf, dumb, blind and quadriplegic.

Your right, when you think about it...Kstate does define ku's program..

YOu have an ex-Kstate coach as your head coach...

You have an ex-Kstate OOC...

You've beaten no one and you're ranked in the Top 15.

What happens next?

Even one loss and you'll be dropped like a Denny's skillet down Mangino's gullet.

I think he realizes KSU is an average to above average team. ku fans don't yet realize they are not world beaters because they have not played a great team yet, and may not all season.

Compared to undefeated South Florida...look at your record and try not to laugh. Hell, compare yourselves to all the one loss teams ranked ahead of your team and maybe you'll get my point.

A win over your non-rival was good but it wasn't THAT impressive. BTW>...it was rally from three points down and we played like crap

So if an average to above average team can go on the road and win at Texas by 20 points, and handle Colorado at home, 47-20, who exactly is k u going to play that's considered somebody?

News flash: Kansas had a lot to do with K-State playing like crap.  Kansas also left some points off the board.  Don't kid yourself.

News flash: Kansas had a lot to do with K-State playing like crap.  Kansas also left some points off the board.  Don't kid yourself.

You could say the same about KSU.  Look at our first 5 drives.  Completely killed our momentum due to 10/15 yard penalties when we had good field position.  Carney's INT off the facemask and Freeman's deflected pick cancel each other out.  Johnson was wide open and would of had the first.  Only point ku left off was Derek Fine's dropped pass.

no need to look any farther than that.  I agree that letting ku score the late TD in the 2nd quarter was the biggest momentum changer and a HUGE difference, but the first 5 drives for both schools looked like this ....

I looked up with about 13 to play in the 2nd quarter and we had the edge in yards 148 to 38.  Both teams had 5 drives and ku was getting to start their 6th.

Ksu 1st drive --- Starts at the ku 46.  We complete a 13 yd pass to the ku 33, only to have it called back by a personal foul.  So 1st and 25 and the drive stalls

Ksu 2nd drive --- TD
Ksu 3rd drive --- missed FG

Ksu 4th drive --- On 2nd and 10 form the Ksu 34, we got a questionable personal foul (slap to the head) and it pushed it back to 2nd and 25 instead of being a makable 3rd and 4.  Drive stalled

Ksu 5th drive ----  Great starting position and we move it to the ku 41.  2nd and 10 we get a 13 yd run called back by a holding call.  Back judge made the call and he was 20-25 yds off of the line of scrimmage, and announcers even said they did not think it was a hold.  So instead of 1st and 10, it ends up being 2nd and 20. Drive stalls

We killed ourselves not taking advantage of those first 5 drives and the fact that ku only got 38 yds on their 5 drives and gave us great starting position.   Damn freaking penalites (even if 2 of them were pretty ticky tacky).    We needed points on 3 of those 5 and we only got points on 1 of those first 5 drives

I think the game played out as it should though.

The drive killing penalties and the missed tackles had nothing to do with ku.

That's a problem. Unfortunately, USF isn't until next year, and Mizzou may suck by the time you get them. So, I guess you will have to win the North and play OU, who already has a loss. Not very promising.
